I was a bit confused with this story and the characters; the only person who doesn't change is Anderson. The blurb gives the name Edgar, but the character in the story is Julian (which sounds better than Edgar anyway). Also, the whole Alice/Alicia name issue was a bit odd.
This was an entertaining story, if for no other reason than to find out which man will get the girl. There isn't a lot of depth to this story, nor the characters. We find out why Anderson is conducting "experiments" and we know that he and Julian have known each other since college, but there isn't a whole lot that explains, or even shows that their best friends. Throughout this book they seem to be at odds with each other about and over Alice. But there's no explanation given as to what makes Alice so special; is it because she's so innocent and unaware?
There are a few rounds of miscommunication and jealousy that occur, and even a bit of backstabbing. But that attempt backfires on the culprit (who isn't a major character in the book). There is a HEA for Alice, and all I was left thinking was "why didn't they come up with that solution earlier?"

What I like about this series is that each new part picks up immediately from the end of the previous installment. This part of the series we learn several interesting things: Tristan's brother Phillip attempts to blackmail Katrina about her arrangement with Tristan and Adam, and mentions that she should ask the guys about a woman named Diane; Katrina's father knows of the arrangement and drops his own bombshell; Katrina meets one of Adam's sisters, Adam's father is released, and there all kinds of fallout from that happening, and the friction that results causes Katrina to make the decision that leaves this part on a big cliffhanger. I was almost ready to throw my Kindle because I couldn't believe the last part and I need to know what happens now....more

I went into this book thinking it was going to end up being a ménage story, so I was a bit disappointed as I continued to read that it actually doesn't end up being a true ménage book. I did think that this was a formulaic and fairly predictable read, but was still entertaining.
I thought Dane was going to be a character I could like, but nope, I was no longer rooting for him after the incident with the homeless person; regardless of how one feels about the less fortunate, even for a fictional character he came across as a douche lord, and that's something not easy to do for a member of the NYPD. He was just too damny cocky and arrogant for my preferences. Although he did have the one redeeming quality in that he actually paid attention to Genevieve when she was describing what was stolen from the boutique.
Genevieve I didn't have a problem with overly much; I could understand her confusion regarding the Porter brothers, since she had only had one serious relationship. How much experience can one hope to have if you've been with one person for 8 years and that was your only experience with a relationship?
Graham is the kind of guy you would root for in the book, he's attentive and caring and actually WANTS to be in a relationship (a rare find indeed, he must be one of 16 men worldwide that wants to be in a relationship); hell, he even celebrates the one month anniversary. I've been married for almost 13 years and still will occasionally get my anniversary date wrong.
The sex scenes at the beginning of the book were pretty hot, but there weren't that many once all three were back in New York. There was a bit of angst in this book, not enough for me though. I wish there could have been more regarding the ex-wife; that was dealt with way too quickly, it was over before it really got started. The ending was somewhat abrupt, so not much of a HEA, more like a HFN ending. ...more

My only complaint(s) are I wish there had a been a bit more of a story when it came to Cynthia's father (I know, not a big part of the story, but the way it ended was kinda like wait, what?), and why did she have to have a menage in order to be a sub? She couldn't have just submitted to Chris alone? Still a very hot book indeed!...more
