Ryat is the perfect OTT/JP morally grey (possibly even black) Hero in this story. Between his need to control and his conniving ways you know he won’t give up until he gets what he wants, whether or not your in his way.
I enjoyed Blakely’s discovering of herself, both as an individual as well as where she fell within the LORD world.
I think Ritual was early in my introduction to the world of dark romances so I didn’t know what to expect next and even years later don’t think it overdoes tropes too much, but just right to keep you intrigued and reading on.
