I'm sorry, but no.
It's not that this book was awfully written or had terrible characters, but this was just not for me.
The age-play kink is not my thing; and when grown adults act like small children, I just cannot help but cringe.
Maybe if it was explained why they felt the need to do this, I could have understood their kink better, but now I was just a bit weirded out by it. I needed more context.
People who are already familiar with and like this kink might be really into this novella, though, because the characters are quite likable and, in their own way, have sort of a sweet dynamic going on. So, there’s that.
It's also super short, so I guess it's kinda no harm no foul..?
Unless, of course, the whole kink makes you uncomfortable at first glance, like me, and then I'd suggest you better skip this one, and maybe try a more developed book with the same themes first!

Omg. A one star book is terrible enough. But age gap just turned exponentially wrong 🤢🤢🤢 that's vile

@Mariam — I’m not entirely sure, but I don’t even think they have an age-gap! One of them just sometimes likes to pretend he is a small child, and the other.. is into that, I guess? I dunno, but, like I said, it weirded me out a lottt! 😬
Well, it is a real kink out there -Daddy/little- and there are a lot of ppl that enjoy it ( or reading about it) ; to each their own. Personally I don’t understand how can you fuck your pretend baby boy * shudders . Or a grown up man wearing onesies and diapers. So yeah..not my cup of tea.
@Nicole — Yea, I do have to agree with you there😅 It’s not really my thing to kink-shame, but this one was really testing my limits😬 I guess I was at least glad that there was only one minor sex scene here and they weren’t in their ‘daddy/little’ role-play right then, so I could somewhat handle reading this novella; if I had to actually read about sex during their roleplay, I honestly think it would have been downright creepy!
I think the only way I could possibly understand this kink is if maybe it were explained as some sort of trauma-response for something bad that happened in their lives; but that wasn’t the case here, so.. yea. I do not get it and it was just cringe!😐

Completely understandable. I've read daddy kink in the past, but I think at first I could finish the books because it was a novelty and I was trying to see what the characters got out of it. Now, I just steer clear. 😬
@Elena — yea, I think it was the same for me too. I kind of wanted to see what it was all about, yk? and it was so short, I thought; why not? But yea no, it was highkey uncomfortable, and wasn’t properly explained at all! I can see why you would steer clear of this stuff!😅
Lol yeah. I agree. It's one thing to have an age gap. It's another to act like a child as a kink. Not my bag either.
Great review, Imme. I like how even though you admit age play isn't for you you still found the characters likable and their dynamic sweet. That you can separate the the two is awesome.
@L Ann — Thank you! I really appreciate that💜💜 I always try to keep an open mind, and I even have to say that after the many months I actually read this novella, I feel like I am already a bit more comfortable with this kink. I’ve come across it a few times since then, and well.. I’m still not a fan, but I’m also not cringing as hard lol
