I tried really hard to like this book. I wanted to like this book, except the author made that extremely hard to accomplish. I really didn't want to DNF and write a bad review...but here we are.
I just want to say...
WHY IS THERE NO WORLD BUILDING??!!
For the majority of the book I was terribly confused about many things. We honestly have no insight into this world at all. Are there designations? I thought so, but maybe not? Is FMC an omega, or do all female wolves have a heat? It sounds like it's more of a social hierarchy than a designation hierarchy, but I'm not entirely sure. Why did they need to pull strings for FMC to be admitted into Beta Wolf Academy? Who are the 'old ones,' and does everyone keep referencing them but not explaining? We are literally told nothing about this world. It's frustrating. I'm frustrated to the point of anger.

None at all. Nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch. There is no relationship development either.
