This series is excellent. Very well-done mysteries and very intense emotionally.

Teal (howiebing) | 1930 comments The Other Boy by M.G. Hennessey is $1.99 at various retailers. Here's the amazon link:

https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B019WVPSRW

It's MG (middle-grade, which means for a younger audience than YA) with a trans MC.

Oh, I love Blaine’s work! I’ll have to see if there’s anything I don’t have. Thanks!

I hope you find something good, Jordan! I don't always have time to post all the sales I find, so sometimes I have to do triage. I waffled over whether I should take the time to post Blaine's sale or not, but now I'm glad I did. :)

I finished Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe (and a box of tissues) yesterday -- so good. I did not love the platform: you have to log back in each time you move away from it, and it's a several-step log-in (find the page, chose the book, click on "read now", enter your user ID and password, and then refresh). But I guess I can't complain, since it was free.

This was a pleasant book when I read it years ago. Super lightweight, super easy, low conflict, simple plot. Great if you want a really easy, turn-off-your-brain, nice fairytale fantasy romance.

Autoboyography is excellent. I really enjoyed it. If it wasn't about where I live (northern Utah) I probably wouldn't have read it, but I'm glad I did. It feels local and authentic, which I appreciated. Utah culture is slightly unusual. It's well done and a needed book that shows there is a way forward if you're queer and Mormon. And progress has definitely been made on that front since this book came out. I wrote a review: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

Yes, I did purchase a few things I didn't already have. Don't know when I'll get to read them, but now I have them, so that's good. :-) Thank you!

Alison | 4756 comments Bold Strokes Books is having a sale: 10% off everything through June 23. They don't tend to go in for sales much and their books tend to be pricey, but a sale is a sale. I'm game.

I'm finally buying 'Nathan Burgoine's Exit Plans for Teenage Freaks.

Dang...that sounds like a frustrating platform, but I'm thrilled you were able to read and enjoy "Aristotle and Dante."

Have you read The Rules and Regulations for Mediating Myths & Magic by F.T. Lukens? It's basically Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda, plus magic. Since this is the freebies and deals thread, it's not on sale anywhere right now, as far as I know. But the sequel is due in October, so I wouldn't be surprised to see it go on sale sometime in the fall.

There doesn't appear to be a Kindle for the Lukens book
