My words grow in dark places.

Jo Henny Wolf lives with her husband and two daughters in the idyllic Rhine Valley in one of the warmest places of Germany. She spent her childhood roaming the woods of the Black Forest, steeped deeply in myth and folklore and ingrained superstition, where her love for fairytales was nurtured and cemented.

She writes adventures full of magic, love and melancholy, and lots of steamy sex. She writes Romance novels as J. H. Wolf.

Since that first time, my one true pairing will forever be Angélique and Joffrey de Peyrac. It was at a time when computers were outrageously expensive and out of the ordinary (with big and heavy, black and yellow-green screens) and I had no idea that the internet even existed, so when I wrote my very first self-insert fanfic, I had no idea what I was doing. But I loved JdP and Angélique so much that I wrote stories about them into my diaries and dreamed of them in my spare time. Now my love for them is mostly nostalgic. You never forget your first love, though, so I always carry them with me. Angélique spawned my love for fiercely independent heroines, and Joffrey gave me a weakness for heroes with a cane, and for heroes who deeply respect and adore their lovers. He's the Prince Charming I hold every other man up against, be it fictional or real.
And now I have to go reread the books.(less)

“Scared is what you're feeling. Brave is what you're doing.”
Emma Donoghue, Room

Sarah Waters
“I felt that thread that had come between us, tugging, tugging at my heart - so hard, it hurt me. A hundred times I almost rose, almost went in to her; a hundred times I thought, Go to her! Why are you waiting? Go back to her side! But every time, I thought of what would happen if I did. I knew that I couldn't lie beside her, without wanting to touch her. I couldn't have felt her breath upon my mouth, without wanting to kiss her. And I couldn't have kissed her, without wanting to save her.”
Sarah Waters, Fingersmith

Sarah Waters
“Respect your characters, even the minor ones. In art, as in life, everyone is the hero of their own particular story; it is worth thinking about what your minor characters' stories are, even though they may intersect only slightly with your protagonist's.”
Sarah Waters

Arthur C. Clarke
“The only way of discovering the limits of the possible is to venture a little way past them into the impossible.”
Arthur C. Clarke

Cheryl Strayed
“The best thing you can possibly do with your life is to tackle the motherfucking shit out of it.”
Cheryl Strayed, Tiny Beautiful Things: Advice on Love and Life from Dear Sugar
