Hello Leander, I'm not sure if the IIIF manifest links through manducus.net that you are batch adding are a good idea. A main reason (IMO) is that the museums and collections themselves have not asked for this at all. They might be against IIIF, not interested in it, or (having worked in the cultural sector for 15+ years, I think most likely) prefer not being pushed into a service but pointing to their own endpoints as soon as they develop them. I think services like manducus.net must be voluntary and opt-in, not opt-out. Cheers, Spinster 💬 07:56, 18 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I've posted a short message on Wikidata project chat here. It would be nice to continue the conversation there because this may point to issues that may play up in other cases too. Spinster 💬 08:40, 18 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Some time ago I noticed that Wikimedia Commons does not have a IIIF interface. In order to be able to use digital images from Commons in IIIF contexts, I copied images marked with CC0 or PD to manducus.net and made them available as IIIF. The query has always been done via Wikidata. Now that the new IIIF property became available, I thought it would be useful if I imported these links into Wikidata. Since this is obviously not desired, I started the complete deletion of the links now. --Manducus (talk) 09:26, 18 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
