Minuscule

[edit]

Salut, Moumou82.

Moumou82 (talk) 18:47, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ahmed Cherif

[edit]

I'm going to copy and paste the same thing I said to someone else a few days ago: Hi. I hope you don't mind if I talk to you in English. Mon français est très mauvais. The French Wikipedia entry for fr:Ahmed Cherif was vandalized a while ago. I've been tracking a vandal at en:Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Aliabbashiraqi79 for months. You can't really trust any birth date on Wikipedia for Middle Eastern people because this cross-wiki vandal has been changing them. I revert him when I see him, but I miss a lot of it. So, sometimes Wikidata gets vandalized data from English Wikipedia, French Wikipedia, or Arabic Wikipedia. For this reason, it's best not to import data from Wikipedia into Wikidata. Use reliable sources, like books or newspapers or whatever. Too much of Wikipedia has been vandalized. I think it's better we have no data than unsourced data, especially when there's a cross-wiki vandal going around changing stuff. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 14:41, 12 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Wikidata

[edit]

Tunisian geographic code

[edit]

--Helmoony (talk) 03:42, 7 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sources, and restoring vandalism that has been removed

[edit]

Please do not restore content that is not properly sourced. There's a cross-wiki vandal who changes dates on Arabic Wikipedia and English Wikipedia, then imports his vandalism here so that it spreads to other wikis. You're restoring his vandalism when you make edits like at Q12237238. It's a pain for me to remove all his vandalism, and you're just making it harder. When you see content sourced to Wikipedia itself, please do NOT restore it. Per Help:Sources: "Please note that while pages on Wikipedia (and other Wikimedia sites) should and can be added as sitelinks, they are not appropriate as sources for Wikidata statements." NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 01:47, 21 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@NinjaRobotPirate: Thank you for your message but the Arabic Wikipedia article has a source. I have thus restored the year of birth only, as the Arabic Wikipedia source mentions it as well as the French-speaking source I have added under Q12237238. Moumou82 (talk) 19:03, 21 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The citations and dates added by this vandal are sometimes (but not always) fake. If you verify that the sources are reliable and the dates are not vandalism, that's fine. But please watch out for his vandalism. It is very sneaky, and, like I said, it can include fake citations. I don't know why he does this, but he's been doing it for something a year now. You can see some of the sock puppetry investigation at en:Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Aliabbashiraqi79, but, now that I'm an administrator on English Wikipedia, I mostly just block him on sight. If you have checkuser access, there's also an entry about him on the checkuser wiki. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 19:48, 21 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Translation request

[edit]

Hello.

Can you translate and upload the article en:Football in Azerbaijan and en:Template:Football in Azerbaijan in Arabic Wikipedia?

They do not need to be long.

P131 de Q12248972

[edit]

Salut,

Cdlt, VIGNERON (talk) 15:42, 1 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

SELECT ?item ?itemLabel WHERE {
  ?item wdt:P131 wd:Q328109.
  SERVICE wikibase:label { bd:serviceParam wikibase:language "[AUTO_LANGUAGE],en". }
}
Try it!
Cdlt, VIGNERON (talk) 20:07, 1 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@VIGNERON: Y a moyen d'avoir tous les gouvernorats d'un coup ? Moumou82 (talk) 20:10, 1 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Bien sûr :
SELECT ?item ?itemLabel ?gouv ?gouvLabel WHERE {
  ?item wdt:P131 ?gouv .
  ?gouv wdt:P31 wd:Q690084 .
  SERVICE wikibase:label { bd:serviceParam wikibase:language "fr". }
}
Try it!
Cdlt, VIGNERON (talk) 21:12, 1 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
SELECT ?item ?itemLabel WHERE {
  ?item wdt:P17 wd:Q948 .
  ?item wdt:P131 ?loc .
  MINUS { ?loc wdt:P31/wdt:P279* wd:Q56061 }
  SERVICE wikibase:label { bd:serviceParam wikibase:language "[AUTO_LANGUAGE],en". }
}
Try it!
Cdlt, VIGNERON (talk) 14:54, 2 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
C'est tout bon, merci ! Moumou82 (talk) 11:02, 3 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Authority control

[edit]

Hi! I've just noticed that here you have inserted BAV using old Vatican Library ID (former scheme) (P1017) instead of Vatican Library VcBA ID (P8034); it may be due to the use of User:Magnus Manske/authority control.js (the problem has already been reported, but it is still there). I suggest you to use User:Bargioni/moreIdentifiers in order to easily and quickly copy authority control IDs from VIAF ID (P214), managing correctly BAV. To enable it you can add to your common.js:

importScript( 'User:Bargioni/moreIdentifiers defaultconf.js' );
importScript( 'User:Bargioni/moreIdentifiers.js' );

Ask me if you have any doubt. Bye, --Epìdosis 10:09, 7 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Moumou82, you're adding films as notable work (P800) to film persons like a filmography. This is not correct. Besides one can find the films with the feature "What links here" you can add a list of films by using filmography (P1283) and here a film list. notable work (P800) is no alternative for this. The other posibillity is by using award received (P166) or nominated for (P1411). At e.g. Jack Nicholson (Q39792) you can see how to handle this. Regards

Hello, unless I am mistaken, filmography (P1283) does not allow to list films, it allows a single element called XXX filmography, which itself does not contain any list (would just refer to potential WP articles on the topic). Hence, in the instance we are referring to, these articles do not exist, so creating the XXX filmography element and integrating it through filmography (P1283) would be useless. On top of this, I do not see anywhere that notable work (P800) excludes films, neither through the talk page nor through constraints. Can you point me to a reference on this topic? Moumou82 (talk) 16:50, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
May be I am misunderstood. filmography (P1283) does not mean that you can add films there, it means you can add a list of films. The above given example to Jack Nicholson (Q39792) shows it, there is Jack Nicholson filmography (Q10753603). For further information see Wikidata:WikiProject Movies/Properties. ;)
I confirm I got you right but Jack Nicholson filmography (Q10753603) does not include any film either. If there is no WP article associated to it, that would actually list films, what is the point of creating it and associating it to relevant biographies? Moumou82 (talk) 17:13, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that's it. But you see his notable works under award received (P166) and nominated for (P1411), all other is filmography and this is content of a seperate list. I think you want that some films are found but there is "what links here" as well as the reasonator you'll find on the left side -- page information -- and here External tools -- Reasonator e.g. Nour Hajri. In these given films she was partizipant but hasn't won any awards or was nominated for, so it is not notable in the sense of the word. But, to go to the extreme, do you think then that all "notable films" have to be added to Jack Nicholson's item? Who takes the choice what notable is or not? -
Well, we list all actors in the items about films so the opposite, listing all films for an actor, would have seem logical to me but apparently it is not. Moumou82 (talk) 17:42, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for this, but this is indeed the case. -

STOP ! ! !

[edit]

Stop immediately removing country of citizenship (P27) from persons like here. What's the matter with you? -

A lot individuals were born before 1956 but show Tunisia as country of citizenship (P27), however it was not an independent country at the time. I am thus updating this to include the correct entities depending on the time period. I start by removing Tunisia, then adding the right entity (ongoing right now). I will then make a QC for the few individuals that fall in between different entities (such as this example). Moumou82 (talk) 18:30, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
country of citizenship (P27) is different from citizen from - to or place of birth (P19) see Sophia Loren (Q43252). Your batch is wrong. -
So how do you explain errors marked on this item for hundreds of individuals because Tunisia is an inaccurate entity compared to the period they lived? Moumou82 (talk) 18:41, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, Sophia Loren (Q43252) is not an appropriate example, Italy and France both existed in 1934. This was not the case for Tunisia. I refer you to the reply from Gymnicus for your noticeboard message. Moumou82 (talk) 18:44, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
When she was born it was Kingdom of Italy (Q172579) but she is Italian now. This is wrong because he is still Tunisian, may be you mean not living people or died before 1956, but country of citizenship is actuell and NOW. -
You refer to another case but does not explain why I have found multiple error messages for the case of Tunisia. Moumou82 (talk) 19:10, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

« Ibtissem Chachou » (Q115251280)

[edit]

Moumou82 (talk) 08:20, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
