When she meets Paxon at a sporting event she finds herself in the middle of a situation she never anticipated. Now he’s all she can think about and that’s not how this should work.
I loved Paxon and his constant patience with Ella as she struggled to find who she was and step into the role of herself instead of allowing her fears to rule her. Along the way is some boyfriend drama as Ella is in a relationship with another man. It doesn’t take long to figure out he’s not the right one for her and I was urging her to come out of her shell all the quicker so she could find her way with Paxon.
This is a fast paced read that has just enough conflict and drama to keep it interesting and push the story along. I loved when Ella finally made her move because, even though Paxon was definitely chasing her, he was also allowing her to set the pace. Once she found herself she absolutely shined! Nightbloom is the third book in the series and can be read as a standalone. This book was one I’d been anxiously waiting to read. I enjoyed Ella and Paxon’s story so much and I’m curious to see if there will be more books in the future. Please!

Working with him to build a club that will be for both races, she has learned the man is a bit uptight and she loves needling him a little. However, when a threat looms over Sorcha, his dominance rises up and he takes over, showing her how seduction is really done all while protecting her from a stalker.
I loved this story so much! Sorcha was one feisty heroine and she was constantly challenging Lorian’s dominant nature. While we never get his point of view, we are pretty much able to tell by his actions and reactions what he’s feeling or thinking. I love a protective hero and Lorian was that and so much more. When he found the opportunity to make a move toward Sorcha he did so in a slow methodical manner that, for me, showed he had so much more planned than just her seduction.
This is a fast read with a heck of a lot of steam and some pretty intense drama and action. I turned into a regular nail biter as the plot played out and the villain made his move. The angst was definitely ratcheted up at that point and I honestly wasn’t sure in what direction things were going to go. I absolutely loved it!
This is the second book in the newly revised and re-release of the Nightwing series and I have really enjoyed both books so far. I’m especially looking forward to the next book. Fingers crossed that it’s Ella’s.

Jessen’s family life is restrictive to say the least. Sneaking out for a night on the wrong side of town, she finds herself caught in the middle of a confrontation between humans and dragons. When a dark dragon removes her from any danger and then promptly flies her home, she knows that she will feel the wrath of her family. With a quick change in plans she soon finds herself alone with Lucius Nightwing. Despite all she has been raised to believe, she is fascinated by everything about him.
Lucius could not tolerate another man’s hands on the woman. His beast urged him to maim, to break, to kill. It is all the man can do to stop his dragon from taking over. After a soul stirring kiss he knows he must put Jessen aside as he cannot claim her for himself. There is a huge divide between them that goes beyond racism. A divide that his loyalty to family must honor.
While this did not have a lot of action or drama, the story was constantly moving forward, the groundwork being laid for not only Jess and Lucius but for, I imagine, the remaining stories as well. However, it was not completely drama free and I actually enjoyed watching things play out and then cheering when the villain received payment for his deeds.
I adored Lucius and his jealous, protective ways. It doesn’t take him long to recognize what’s at stake with Jessen and even while he fears it a bit, he is determined to claim her completely. Jessen is a heroine that yields to what her family wants, despite her moments of rebellion, but throughout the story she grows stronger in her determination to stand up for what she wants in life. And what she doesn’t want as well. Sometimes, that type of heroine is just as compelling as a regular kicka$$ one.
This is a fast paced read with secondary characters that I can’t wait to read more about. I’m especially keeping my eye on Ella as she has the potential to be my perfect heroine. But I’m also watching Moira, oh, and then there’s Sorcha. Yeah, you get the idea. Lots of good stuff coming up in this series I’m sure. The steam level is scorching but perfect for the story. Don’t expect to get to the serious heat until after the 70% mark. Even so, it didn’t feel that long due to the extreme chemistry between the main characters.
Overall, I absolutely loved pretty much everything about this story except that I wanted more. And since I’m pretty sure I’ll be seeing Jessen and Lucius as we move forward, I’m more than happy.

Sunny continues to amaze me with her deductive reasoning, her people skills, and most of all, her offbeat wit and sense of humor. I love the way she deals with both victims and perpetrators. Especially the band of hooligans she arrests this time around. My face hurt from grinning so much.
We get a lot of quality time with Levi in this book and even more of him with Sunny. I would love to have some of his perspective so I could connect to him on a deeper level. However, there are a lot of reveals in this book and that went a long way to helping me get to know him better.
Along with all the laugh out loud moments, this is also laced with danger and drama including scenes that had me on the edge of my seat. When you add in the whole cast of characters, each with their own passions or quirky natures, it makes for a well rounded mystery that will definitely be a reread in the future.

I loved that Noelle and Brady had both cared for each other through the years but neither really recognized it with the other. There had been that one time that something almost happened but since then, nothing. With danger lurking behind Noelle, Brady has decided it’s time to step up and protect his best friend’s sister.
I loved that while this is a brother’s best friend/best friend’s sister trope, that fact doesn’t cause a lot of angst between Noelle and her brother. There was a moment when things got real between him and Brady and I loved every moment of it. Brady was the type of hero I crave and Noelle was a heroine that could meet him full on. Together, they lit up the pages of my Kindle and had me cranking the heat down and the a/c up.
For a novella, this was a full story with not only a hero and heroine that shine, but secondary characters that added even more to my enjoyment. The danger and drama was just enough to keep me engaged and I hated to see the end. However, the author added a link for a bonus scene and it ended up being the perfect item on my Christmas list I didn’t even know I wanted.

So cute and fun even thoI knew this couple were going to be amazing…and they were! I absolutely LOVED the way Remy is first introduced to Jacqueline! So cute and fun even though at the time Jacqueline is in some serious trouble. This had everything I love in a meet-cute.
Remy stole my heart immediately when he couldn’t keep his hand from reaching for that leaf. I adore an anti hero that’s trying to clean up his act but finds temptation along the way and watching Remy fall for Jacqueline just moved him into one of my top favorite heroes! I loved that he found himself saying and doing things totally unexpected and not at all what he intended to say or do. This is the stuff that makes me one click lightning fast!
The chemistry between Remy and Jacqueline absolutely sizzles across the page. Add in Remy’s friend, Constantine, a mystery that kept me engaged and eager to catch the bad guy, and this was a book that satisfies all the qualifications I have for a perfect weekend read!

Laurel is one of the most unique heroines I’ve ever read and she captivated me just as much this time around as she did in the first book. Her abilities are otherworldly and her personality is one that intrigues me. I love characters portrayed as she is.
While I’m all about the hero, I have to confess that Huck doesn’t really win it with me. He seems a bit lackluster and less fiery than the heroes I’m accustomed to reading by this author. Of course, Ms. Zanetti has built a high bar for herself with previous heroes that have become some of my top favorites ever.
This storyline is one that refused to let me skim it. I was in a place where I needed to be able to read and move on and this book was not it. It forced me to pay attention to the details, to the clues, and to the characters. I love when a romantic suspense demands my attention in this way. It’s a sure sign that the writing is pure excellence.

Ari’s and Mac’s story had me giddy with excitement, but also heartbroken, hopeful, angry, anxious and deliriously happy to the point of tearing up at the end. That’s when you know you’re seriously attached to a group of individuals that only exist in the pages of a book and you don’t care because you will cheer for them and cry with and for them as though they are a part of your real family.
The Maestro is finally here!!! This is one of the most stunningly beautiful books I’ve ever read. It’s an epic tale of first love that spans decades. The Maestro is finally here!!! This is one of the most stunningly beautiful books I’ve ever read. It’s an epic tale of first love that spans decades. I was pulled in from the beginning and soon it was as though I were experiencing all the angst and heartache that these characters experienced.
There is no way to break this book down and I’m struggling to review it because I cannot find the words to express myself. This is often the case when a book moves me as much as this one has. Aurelia and Chad own my heart and reading their story with all their struggles, both individually, as friends, and then as a couple, had me yelling, cheering and crying.
This author creates a stunning story with words that flow in such a rich melody that I felt them move through me even as the music of the story moves. Each of the characters within this book are well developed and help carry the storyline that runs throughout years. Be warned that this has a true to life feel, so you won’t find it filled with hearts and flowers. What you will find is a hero and heroine who are sworn to be there for each other despite what the world has served up for them.
This book has imprinted itself on my heart to the point I will remember the feel of this long after the last page is turned. I highly recommend this if you love stories filled with emotion, sizzling heat, and heart breaking angst.

Dessie was nothing as I expected. And I loved that. I loved HER! She was such an intriguing heroine. With her personal struggle at the heart of her character, I couldn’t help but try to figure out what was going to happen prior to it happening. I was wrong every…single…time. Which intrigued me more.
Garrett was every bit as alpha as his father before him, which is why I am a huge fan of this series. (And I hate reading a series!) His frustration at the situation he found himself in with Dessie had me smiling one moment and then worried sick the next. I truly didn’t know what was going to happen to these characters.
This is definitely one of the most intense books of the series. The angst, the drama, the danger. It carried me through until almost the very last page. I highly recommend this book and while it could possibly stand alone, I really feel that you need to read the previous books.

Kayla’s story was kept hidden for a good portion of the book which had me itching with anticipation to learn what exactly it was. I love when this happens, especially when written in a way that is subtle and intricately woven into the story such as this.
She had an immediate dislike of Aidan making this an enemy to lovers trope that had me sitting up with excitement. The chemistry between them was explosive in every way! This was filled with white hot scenes that brought in all kinds of activities that will have you salivating. Aidan is one filthy, dirty talker and he’s absolutely the hottest hero I’ve read in a very long time.
This is definitely one of those books that you need to go in as blind as possible. Other than what I’ve shared above, the rest of the story and how things take a turn should not be revealed until you're reading it or you’ll lose that “Oh My Gawd!” moment(s) that are so worth the secrecy. That being said, I’m ending my review here other than to say it is freaking amazing and as the author has stated, it has a happy ever after, it just looks different but it’s still an authentic HEA.

In the past, I’ve been concerned that I would dislike a book by Ms. Perry because of the trope or the blurb. And I’ve always been blown away by how much she could make me fall in love with something I never believed I would. Garnet Flats takes first place. I mean, really. The blurb just screamed at me to stay away and oh my gawd it was hard to crack it open. But by all that is holy in Romancelandia she won my heart again!

This was filled with emotions, angst and sizzling heat. I couldn’t put it down!!! Talia and Foster were amazing separately and together. My heart hurt for both of them due to their past experience and how that was affecting their current actions and decisions. I found myself crying at one moment, yelling the next and turning my A/C down to handle the steam.
With a great pace that never lagged or became repetitive, I read this straight through. Of course, there was no way I was closing it as I needed to see these characters’ broken souls healed. I loved every emotional churning moment here and yet this author did not make the angsty churn last longer than I could bear making this an incredible read.

I absolutely loved Memphis’ snarky attitude that was truly nothing more than him telling it like it was. He had such a fun, lighthearted manner that had me smiling from beginning to end. But what really hooked me about his way of communicating with others was the fact that all those fun, truer than life comments, were covering up a hero that had the ability to back up every threat or promise he made. Add in all the protective, possessive traits that I adore, and yep, my heart is rocked.
’Her eyes widened. “Excuse me?” His hand raked through his already disheveled hair. “There’s been an unexpected complication with your case. I’m finding that I’m jealous and possessive. Weird, but, it is what it is.”’
[image]
Eliza’s growth from victim to strong and determined survivor was wonderful. I loved that it didn’t happen overnight for her and by the time she took her stand, she was one tough cookie. Her initial responses to Memphis’ quirky ways added to my overall enjoyment of their story.
This was layered with a sense of danger from the beginning and the revelation at the end was shocking despite my determination to not be surprised. The steam between Eliza and Memphis was enough to fog my glasses as it melted the ice in my tea glass. The 104 degrees outside has nothing on this couple when they’re together!

Gemma’s story held me captive as it was slowly revealed. She was a strong heroine despite her fears and uncertainties. I loved that her love and determination to protect her daughter took precedence over everything else in her life. When her choices were between doing the smart thing or that thing that readers scream about, she held fast to her character and remained strong.
Jethro was a unique hero with his accent and his special abilities. I adored him from the beginning. He was everything Gemma and Trudy needed and his interactions with the little girl were ovary exploding scenes that had me wishing for a Jethro of my own. He too had a background that was rising up to threaten him and what he was developing with Gemma and his protection of her and Trudy had me loving him all the more.
The scorching chemistry between Gemma and Jethro was enough to singe the pages. This also had several moments of intense danger and drama. I was glued to the pages as one thing after another was revealed to this couple and they were left to deal with it. Of course, the Deep Ops characters were there to give backup and I gobbled each delicious bite of them as they supported this couple.

Iris and Pierce together were pure perfection. I adored the friend-zone that Pierce had to deal with. His disgruntlement with the situation was so freaking cute, I couldn’t help but giggle each time it came up. But holy heck, when things start to head in a not friendly manner, he didn’t hesitate to act on it.
Iris played a large part in the cute factor of this story. She had a rough history and a scary time of having to deal with it popping up unexpectedly. But there were moments when she released the part of herself that was a spitting, fighting cat and I loved watching her try to bring someone twice her size down and the consequent actions Pierce took to control the situation. As I’ve said, it was just all so freaking cute.
This storyline was quite unique, centering around a topic that I’ve only read about once or twice before. I loved it all the more because it’s a rare find. Iris and Pierce’s story was masterfully crafted with characters that had me laughing, questioning, and cursing all along the way. With an epilogue that left me smiling and sated, I nevertheless wondered how long until the next amazing Wilde boy would be out.

I loved this book so much, as soon as I finished it, I was ready to relive it all again! This was so freaking cute!!! I immediately connected with Rosaline and Elijah. They were both so unique from what I’m accustomed to reading.
Rosaline is small framed and has a proclivity that I’ve never found in another heroine. She does things that had me grinning from ear to ear and yet at the core of it was something that made my heart hurt for her. I loved her so much. She was the perfect counterpoint to Elijah and that fact is what helped to create the connection I felt with her.
Elijah was AMAZING!!! He was coarse and rough, lacking social graces as well as any desire to gain them. I loved his often grumpy manner as well as the thoughts he often had that made me laugh. It didn’t take him long to claim Rosaline as his own, and yet he had a history that was almost impossible to overcome when it came to the issue he would have to face with her.
This started out fast and continued with a pace that kept me turning the pages. Although this is a relatively short book, it captured my attention immediately, made me fall in love with this couple and kept me engaged from the very beginning. While it doesn’t consume the story, the chemistry between Elijah and Rosaline was HOT! And when the angst cranked up, it was heartbreaking.
With an epilogue that left me smiling and wanting to twirl with happiness, I only wished I had more of this wonderful couple!

The runaway bride issue always seems to be laced with a contrived situation that causes the bride to run. Not so in this case. Jenna had a believable reason to second guess her decision. However, instead of the heroine running and the hero chasing, this couple actually make adult decisions. I loved the mature manner that they spoke to one another after Jenna ran. It was still an emotional conversation, but the author did not use it to create wild drama.
My heart hurt for both Elias and Jenna. While Jenna’s background was heartbreaking, it was Elias’ reactions and considering responses that really broke my heart. It was obvious he was deeply in love with Jenna and I adored the way this author shows glimpses of that.

As a true crime junkie myselWow! As much as I anticipated this book, I wasn’t prepared for it to consume me as it did. I could not put it down.
As a true crime junkie myself, I quickly fell in love with Delilah. She was tough, clever, and fiercely determined to find justice for a missing girl. She also had the type of snark about her that I could totally connect with as it highlighted a lighter side to her. I usually don’t put a lot of weight on the heroine but Delilah won me over within a few pages.
Archer had a heart of ice and it’s evident in the way he approaches life, on the outside. However, on the inside he’s a completely different man.
The problem is that no one will ever know that. It’s not long before Delilah begins to melt his walls and frees his heart. Such a wonderful process that I couldn’t get enough of.
As always, I loved the jealous, protective and possessive traits that ran through this hero. Archer’s need to protect her at any cost was a fiery need in his soul.
”No one touches her but me. Delilah is mine, and she’s staying mine. And if anyone wants to threaten her?” He leaned in close once more, He wanted this message received, understood, and taken to the grave. “They will have to go through me.”
”I will fight for her. Make no mistake about that. I will fight harder for Delilah than I have ever fought for anything in my life.”
I loved the introduction of new characters and all of them, whether fun and engaging or dark and broken, were relatable in every way. This has the perfect mix of humor, romance, and sizzling intensity all wrapped up in layers of suspense that had me turning the pages as quickly as I could. I hate being that reader that demands the next book as soon as I turn the last page, but it’s true and Ms. Eden has no one but herself to blame.

Cassie was an incredible heroine. She was a force to be reckoned with and I loved that she could stand up to anyone, or any monster, not only for her own benefit, but for others as well. Her determination to save Dante, despite his loss of memory, and his resulting response to her, won me over completely. There were moments that my heart was heavy on her behalf but she pushed on through every time.
Dante was fierce and I loved everything about him. And hot dang but he was intense! I’m not sure when I last read about a hero like him. Even as he struggled with his memories and what they implied, he was protective of Cassie. I loved that there seemed no reason for that dedication to protecting her and yet his first response was always to save her. This is alpha goodness at its absolute best!
