I like that she acknowledges her privilege and also that she relies on other authors, theorists and historical figures for fodder. None of her ideas are particularly original, but she reminded me of the importance of being mindful of, say, being nice to your spouse and having fun with your kids. Having read this right after Marie Kondo's "Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up," I'm thoroughly convinced that purging excess and organizing your belongings can have a remarkable effect....more
