I listened to her famous set at Largo, and I appreciate what she does, but this book is really repetitive. I was interested in hearing more about her famous “year from hell” but found the rest of the book boring, particularly the chapter about her biological father.

I especially appreciate the articles debunking the pseudoscientific “cures” for autism (although Holly Robinson Peete defends her friend and fellow celebrity Jenny McCarthy, whose name appears quite a bit). This book should be mandatory reading for all parents of a child on the spectrum. I wish I’d read it years ago.
