It's a nice start to the series. The sentinel's have been sleeping for ten thousand years and are the first of their kind. I liked Edensaw and his wolf brothers as well as Cassidy.
Edensaw knows from the start that Cassidy is his mate. I like that Edensaw does not try to force Cassidy to become his mate. He lets her decided when and if she will be his mate. I also like the Wolf Brothers reactions to there new world and how they want to learning and try new things. "He turned back to the view. It looked as if he and his wolf brothers would have a lot of adjusting to do. Their knowledge as hunters wasn't exactly going to be of much use in this strange, new world."
We don't get a lot of time with the different wolf brothers or the local pack, but from what we do see of the characters is interesting. We also get a brief glimpse of the evil that the sentinels were created to stop, but it wasn't very fleshed out.

Ashes of War is book two in the Sons of War series by Lia Davis. We pick up a few weeks after War's Passion and continue in the fight agents Garrick.
Wow the plot thickens. We learn why Ash was sent to spy. We also learn a lot about Ty and the time he was tortured. During that time he lost a part of himself. The author did a great job building on the plot and characters. Their are so many surprises added into this story, that to talk about them, well would just spoil it for you, so all I can say is that I was going OMG and WOW with all the things revealed. We are also introduced to a few new characters that I look forward to reading more about.
As for the romance each couples romance builds in each novel, so I recommend reading in order. You will see the pull and character changes as things progress, new characters come into play, and plot twist get revealed. Ash and Ty’s romance was sweet. These two learn to trust and you see their character growth throughout the story. Both find what they need in each other. That peace and love. There are some hot scenes, but they don’t over take the story.
I had a great time reading Ashes of War and am looking forward to Zavier’s story. It looks like he is the next to fall for his mate!

Sanctuary is book one in Roman’s Chronicles series by Ilona Andrews. It’s part of the Kate Daniels world. I loved Roman in the Kate Daniels books and Sanctuary is book one in Roman’s Chronicles series by Ilona Andrews. It’s part of the Kate Daniels world. I loved Roman in the Kate Daniels books and his interactions with Kate. This novella was a treat for this fan.
Roman, a Dark Volhv, serves the Slavic god Chernobog, the God of Destruction, Darkness, and Death. We get Roman’s backstory and learn how he became the Black Volhv. He’s grumpy, but also has a soft spot especially for animals. He finds humor to balance out the things he has to do for his God.
This is a nice introduction to the Kate Daniels series and a fabulous treat for fans. I loved this novella. It’s full of mythology, kick-ass characters, humor, and more. I highly recommend Sanctuary and all the books/audiobooks written by Ilona Andrews.
Bewitching Bedlam is book one in the Bewitching Bedlam series by Yasmine Galenorn.
I grabbed this as a freebie to try. I’ve had my eye on this series Bewitching Bedlam is book one in the Bewitching Bedlam series by Yasmine Galenorn.
I grabbed this as a freebie to try. I’ve had my eye on this series and Ms. Galenorm for a while. I was going into this story thinking I was getting a fun B&B storyline with a cast of magic characters to enjoy; unfortunately this novel didn’t live up to what I had hoped. We do get a cast of magical characters, but it wasn’t a fun B&B storyline. Their where things I liked and things I didn’t, but it just didn’t grab me enough to have me continue the series.
To start I’m not sure if I’m missing reading books before this one or a series I should have read before Bewitching Bedlam, but it feels like I missed something. The first chapter/introduction starts with Maudlin and Aegis having sex. I’ve got no issues with sex in my books, but to jump into that when we don’t know the characters or what’s up. Ah! Then to add to my issue we jump back in time a little bit and then we come back to the present. Can you see how this might be shocking and confusing. I sure didn’t care for the beginning.
Now let’s move onto the character and world building. We don’t get enough character building for any of the characters. Nor is there any world building. We do learn about Maudlin’s past and that she is very powerful and feared by a lot of supernaturals.
Then we have the romance. I wasn’t feeling the romance between Maudlin, our witch, and Aegis, our vampire. It just felt off and I think that had to do with Maudlin being a hunter aka vampire killer in her past.
The mystery was interesting and intriguing. We’re lead in one direction and then it takes us into another direction. I like miss directions and not having it be obvious what’s going on.
I also really liked the djinn cat. He was a lot of fun and added humor.
As for the ending. I had major issues with this. Maudlin has a confrontation with five evil bad vampires and instead of saving herself she has to be saved by her boyfriend. This didn’t jive with me. Especially when we learn about her past and know that she’s powerful.
All and all Bewitching Bedlam wasn’t for me and I won’t be reading on. If the blurb intrigues you, I urge you to give it a shot. Just because it did not work for me does not mean it won’t for you.

It can be read as a stand-alone. An alien romance with some sci-fi drama.
The story is predictable and the romance is instant. We have the dream sharing which pretty much means when they meet; they will end up in bed pretty quickly, even if they have doubts, are scared or worried.
I enjoyed the single mother trope and adored her son. The Goddess has all three dream sharing in this one. Our Kindred warrior was so sweet with our heroines son. My heart melted. I did wonder how her ex-husband found them and why he didn’t file kidnapping charges against her since they weren’t divorced yet when she took her son and left.
The sex was really fast in this one and yes, its engineered with the kidnapping, but they should have followed up on this with another round later. They are in love so fast. It felt like they could have fallen in love with any Kindred or woman that came along.
Bonding With the Beast was an ok read. Enjoyable enough. It’s a fast erotic sci-fi romance read.
Secrets of the Sword II is book eight in the Death Before Dragons series by Lindsay Buroker.

I continue to enjoy this world, the characters, and adventures we get to go on with Val.
Val is still looking for information about her sword and is planning to visit the dwarves home world. But, plans get a little side tracked when a half-dwarf thief claiming to be the rightful owner of her sword causes trouble. We’ve also got a police officer that thinks Val’s friend and roommate Dimitri murdered someone with his door knockers. And, Val and Zav are planning their wedding. A lot is going on that keeps you entertained and engaged.
Val goes up agents a formidable enemy. This time there are a lot of undead creatures, twists, surprises, and great fight scenes. I enjoyed the storyline and plot. It’s another solid read.

We start off on the human ship taking some of earths inhabitants to colonize a new world. The current generation won’t see this new planet, but a plot is afoot by someone to bring this ship down.
I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this delightful prequel into the world of the Dragons of Tajss.
Our heroine, Riley, is a bit shy and has anxiety issues, but by the end we see her overcoming her shyness. She’s a communication officer on the generational ship and has been secretly communicating with Angota.
Our hero, Angota, is quite yummy. I’d love a dragon of my own. He’s been communicating with someone off-world witch is not allowed, but when his Riley is in danger he does what he can to save his Treasure.
They have an instant connection over the airwaves. Both know it will end, but both secretly feel something and don't want it to end. Will they get your HEA?
The author did a good job setting up for future books in both the Red Planet Dragons of Tajss and Red Planet Jungle. I look forward to trying out both sereis.

It’s another thrilling read in the series that takes us on a journey with Val to learn about her sword. I really enjoyed this new plot. It’s engaging and kept my attention.
Things are settled with the dragons, but Val has a new problem. Her sword is giving off a beacon to all who can feel it. The plot brings us new situations, powers and secrets on Val’s sword plus interactions with the Fae we haven’t seen in previous installments.
Val and Zav’s relationship is solid. They work together as a team and they have great banter. Zav shows his dedication to Val and helps her out with her problems.
The familiar side characters are present. We see Val spending more time with her daughter Amber and we get more of Nin and Dimitri who are friends of Val.
We’re treated too lots of laugh, action, adventure, fun characters, and more. I enjoy returning to this world and look forward to seeing what’s next.

I had a blast reading this one. Storm Forged wraps up the over all story arc for this series.
Val finds herself in another predicament. She can’t say no to helping out Nin’s long lost grandfather. I enjoyed the mystery and reveals in this novel. We get twists and turns, plus some drama. Val handles it all with grace and maturity.
It’s been a journey for Val and I liked seeing her develop and change throughout the series. She finally finds someone to open up to. We see her strengths develop like her learn to use her magic and her sword work improving. We’ve also seen her improve her reputation in the supernatural world.
I was happy with Val and Zav’s relationship in this book. They are finally in a good spot together and they overcame the last of the barriers and secrets between them. I like that they finally cement their relationship.
Zav has learned a lot about humans and he appreciates Val, but he’s still his arrogant dragon self. I liked seeing him grow.
Storm Forged was a great read! We got to see Val end up with a family that likes and loves her as she is and we get to meet so many wonderful characters plus its full of action-packed adventure. Fans of Urban Fantasy will enjoy this series.

I enjoy reading Laurenston’s shifters. I don’t read these for the romance; though that is always nice, but for the silly crazy outrageous banter, loving and loyal friendships, family dynamics, and humor. Laurenston’s novels always make me smile and laugh.
Born To Be Badger was another hilariously fun read! The honey badgers are back with their crazy antics. Expect mayhem, explosions, and flamboyant banter.
Tock and her honey badger friends are on a mission to stop shifters from trafficking humans. But, things don’t go as planned and pandemonium ensues when Tock, her teammates, and the Malone brothers all end up being the targets.
As like previous books, the main couple’s relationship isn’t the main focus for the book. We still are treated to a relationship that builds and sexy times, but the main focus in all the books has been on what is happening in the world and to the characters. I enjoy this series; because of the relationships, crazy scenarios that happen, and how the relationship is weaved in between all the action and craziness.
Shay and Tock’s relationship happens while they are trying to uncover information on who killed Shay’s father and both trying to stay alive. Shay is a sweet guy. He’s an introvert and has a daughter Dani, who is adorable. I loved Shay and Dani’s relationship and seeing Tock build on as well with Dani.
Tock loves keeping to a schedule. She’s extremely time sensitive and hates messing up her schedule. Her family is all honey badgers and they are very interesting, especially her grandmother.
Overall, I had a fun time reading Born To Be Badger. I laughed. I smiled. I was put in a good mood. It’s another action packed and hilarious read. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

One Bad Witch is the sixth book in the Beechwood Harbor Magic Mystery sereis by Danielle Garrett and is best read in order.
As things go if you read my last review on the last book, Lucky Witch, I felt frustrated with the relationship department and the drama the author added. I’m still perplexed in the relationship department. On one hand Holly is in a relationship with Adam, but the chemistry with Nick makes me question. By the end we have lines drawn and a clear path.
The mystery is frighteningly close to home and Holly must tackle the dilemma of keeping her job and what she’s doing a secret from her friends and boyfriend. What happens makes Holly think about her life and what she really wants. And, at the end, she and Adam have a talk that they really needed to have about the future and the present.
Fans of cozy mysteries with paranormal elements will enjoy this light and fun read. I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next.

Man oh man I read this in one day. I picked it up and couldn’t stop. I just adore Kate, Curran and the rest of the gang. I’m over the moon to visit my favorite world and characters again.
Kate and Curran can’t say no to a town in danger. We continue the Kate Daniels storyline in this deliciously breath taking installment.
Those coming to the sereis do need to start from the beginning to get the most out of this outstanding world.
Life for Kate and Curran is about to change. Kate is slowly realizing they can’t sustain the domestic life-style they have enjoyed for a few years now. She will need to face who and what they are which means getting back in the game.
The Andrews team know how to draw a reader in, building up the advance and let them enjoy a ride of their life. We are treated to duel POV’s; Kate and Curran. I love seeing their romance and partnership. It’s so strong. The core group that sounds them continues to grow and Conlan is such a cool child. It love seeing him grow up. As for the evil in the woods. It was cool to discover what was menacing the town and I loved the parallel made between the evil and Kate/Curran. The future looks to be interesting.
I will say I was hoping for more at the end with all the cool things Kate/Curren discover, but I am content. Maybe one day we will find out.
Magic Claims is a great mix of humor, magic, mystery, action and adventure. Urban Fantasy fans you must read this sereis. It’s an adventure you can surely enjoy over and over again.

Abril is a mage with an affinity for animals. She is posing as a human on Earth helping the human detective agency. She discovers her true origins in this novel and now she must be trined to use all her unknown powers. She also has an unlike bodyguard, Blake a Shide, who posses as the Earl of Galloway.
I enjoyed Abril and Blake. Danger, tests, and struggles are all part of their interaction.
This novel has an interesting concept, unique characters and its full of mythical creatures. Jinxed is full of action and surprise. I found Jinxed to be very interesting and unique. I’m curious to read on.

In the first book in the series, we meet Grim and Lisa. In this book we jump back in time a few months to see how Emperor Wray, meet Kim, the human woman, who changed everything. What happens here leads us to the events in the first book in the Tornians series.
I wasn't sure if I would read Wray's story; because I had read Grim's and then once I finished realized that Wray, at least in my mind, should have been the first book in the series. Now, I can say that both books Grim and Wray can stand on their own and you can read them in any order.
These aren’t the greatest books, but they give me my sexy protective alien fix. Their are grammar and spelling errors, plus plot holes and the world doesn’t entirely make sense. But, its alien science fiction and not everything will make sense or work, but that doesn’t stop me from enjoy the books. What I love about this series is the romance. There is just something about these sexy alien warriors adoring their females that keeps me coming back for more.
I had a lovely time meeting Emperor Wray and Kim's story. There are forces trying to keep them apart, but in the end they get their HEA and a special surprise.
Wray was an enjoyable read and I look forward to reading on in the Tornians series and seeing what befalls other Tornians and human women that have ended up in this universe.

We meet Penny in the Fire and Ice Trilogy series. She’s a witch, but does not know it. Her parents kept her hidden and didn’t tell her what she was. Things change when she runs into Emery.
It’s nice the author is continuing this world. It’s a fun Urban Fantasy read.
Emery has a controlled bad-ass vibe that makes him sexy. He’s got power in spades, but is on a course that will lead him into danger. His backstory is well laid out.
Penny is hilarious! Her power is off the charts, but she doesn't understand it, yet. She’s a witch coming into her powers and always finding herself in trouble. As for her backstory it’s ok, a bit long, and redundant.
These two come together unknowingly to rescue each other in one way or another. Penny’s mother is a hoot. I will say the story is slow in the beginning. Around 50% things start to pick up. It was an enjoyable read and I plan to continue Penny and Emery’s storyline.

This novel completes Reagan and Darius’s story ARC.
Reagan & Darius head down to the underworld to wipe out any demons who know of her ties to her father. It was interesting to see the hell Breene created. The author created one scene that was at a circus which was a bit weird.
I enjoy the characters in this series and the author has done an excellent job of weaving her lore into the story. Reagan is a kick-ass heroine and I enjoyed her strong and independent strengths. Darious is the powerful vampire. He’s a lot nicer and much more lovable than when the series started.
We do get some questions answered, but we do have a few things left opened. The author does hint at a possible later series in which a few open arcs might be closed.
I will say times the story felt like filler material especially when the leads are in hell. I enjoyed reading and complete the romance.
Fused In Fire concludes and I’m sad for it to end, but it was an exhilarating ride. This trilogy is intense and bing worthy. For now we are done with Reagan and Darius, but there is more to come and maybe we will revisit this couple at a later time. I’m looking forward to read on into the Demon Days & Vampire Nights World.
