This book was a unique gender bent version on a well known tale. I really liked the way it was done. The characters had depth to them and their backgrounds were more fleshed out as the story went on which made them relatable. The story was not just a gender bent version of Alice in Wonderland but it also had some new twists and touched on some serious subjects. All put together this made for an entertaining and engaging read.
The audiobook itself was well produced. The narrator spoke clearly and was also able to portray the characters emotions easily.
I’m a big Alice fan and a fan of retellings in general so I look forward to listening to other books in this series and by this author.
