The Maid (Molly the Maid, #1)

A tale of a young woman, Molly the Maid, whose whole world is her grandmother and the hotel where she can do the best thing in the world - keep it tidy and clean. Suddenly, she becomes involved in a mystery death, the event which shows her that cleanliness, especially that of soul, is not all people's priority.
Molly, having been raised by her grandmother, is a loner and sees the world thorugh some general truths handed over to her and to which she sticks to and by which she lives. She is definitely a memorable character, the one you root for, and who deserves what she receives at the end.
*Many thanks to Nita Prose, HarperCollins UK, and NetGalley for arc in exchange for my honest review.*

This book received quite praise from some people I know. It seems interesting, I'm intrigued about Molly.
Seems like there are a lot of poor social skills characters floating around in books these days. I’ve been passing on this one.

True, Judith. You cannot not root for Molly, though :)

Enjoyed your review Beata …….. I’m interested to have a look at this one, and the Netflix series too.

Thank you, Richard! :)) Not having the Netflix deprives me of so many series I'd like to watch, it seems :)) But at least I have books lol :)

We agreed on the the number of stars… the high point was Molly— the rest for me was meh. Great review as always!! 😎
Beata, that just happened for me with the Glass Woman (which by the way I think you loved :), any way, I enjoyed the character, then the mystery simply annoyed me :)

Thank you, Heidi :)) I thought the author had an idea for a character and then tried to match plot to Molly :))

Thank you, Annette :)) I suppose The Glass Woman had its historical background with the landscape and its menace which did appeal to me, whereas here all I was left with was Molly :))

Lovely review. I felt differently than you as I just took it as the mystery fun book and character Molly was. It’s a great review Beata with great observations 😁💕
Thank you, Sue! :)) Yes, it was mystery fun book, I liked Molly's observations and attitude best, and her relationship with her granny ... :) They had a most special bond!
