I’m pretty conflicted. When I started this series I really enjoyed it, much to my dismay. I didn’t realize until after reading the first two books that it was written by an author I swore never to support in any way…but it was too late and I want to finish reading this series…Sigh…
I’m really enjoying these books. The storyline is fun, the characters are unique and interesting. The world is different from anything I’ve read before and it’s exciting. The world building was done really well and I’m thrilled to read about all the future planets they will be visiting.
I’m really enjoying the diverse and highly unusual characters. So far our FMC is mated (or almost mated) to a Kraken shifter, a cyborg, a vampire, and a warlock. We have a set of tiger shifters, a dragon, and an unusual spiky alien as potential future mates. I have a feeling this harem is going to be large.
The main plotline is extremely slow moving though. I think the reason for this is the shorter length of half these books. As soon as the plot looks to be moving forward the book ends, this stalls the plot movement until more than halfway through the next book. At this rate the series is going to need at least 10 books to finish the main storyline....more
I’m so disappointed I could cry right now. Seriously. I’m not even joking. I feel like I just found out Santa Claus isn’t real. OSeries Review 3 Stars
I’m so disappointed I could cry right now. Seriously. I’m not even joking. I feel like I just found out Santa Claus isn’t real. Or my absolutely favorite love story was a lie. This book killed my dreams.
I don’t want to go into it. I’m too mad. I read all of the first and second books then I DNF’d the third.
The main characters started having sex with other people halfway through the last book. I want to vomit. It’s like reading a story where Ariel is cheated on by Prince Eric. It’s like Beast having sex with someone who isn’t Belle. There is no sanctity anymore and nothing is sacred!
I’m always surprised when books I pass over time and again end up being really good. I enjoyed this series, and it was a lot of fun to read.

However, it does touch upon one of my greatest pet peeves and I really had to force myself to ignore it. When I pick up a reverse harem I want the males to be centered around the female. That’s what a reverse harem is. Once you start adding in all the MM relationships it gets tricky.
So, in this book many of the FMC’s fated mates ended up being fated for each other, and that’s fine. What isn’t fine is when the FMC’s fated mates put her aside completely once they mate with each other. The FMC’s Gargoyle mate didn’t touch her, date her, or even kiss her after he mates the male omega. Her Griffin mate didn’t even attend her heat, because he was with his other mate.
In fact, half of her mates didn’t attend her heat because they were with the male omega, whom they aren’t even mates with.
The male omega who mated Ellie never touched her either - not even once. He ran off to be with her other mate almost immediately. This is such a big pet peeve of mine I struggled not to put this book down… fortunately, I really enjoyed the story regardless. Though I doubt I’ll ever reread it because of that issue.
