I picked up Guarding Suzie as it's part of Susan Stoker's kindle world series which I loved. However, I am not loving this book as much as I hoped. Firstly, I can overlooked the grammar and spelling errors, they aren't that many but I did spot a few. A good editor or proof reader should have been able to spot them.
What I really dislike is the portrayal of Suzie. Look, I understand that she got out of a bad divorce where the ex was a domineering controlling s.o.b however, her incessant need to always be in control and not giving an inch is so over the top and annoying. Ryan aka Joker has to walk on tip toes around her, fearing that whatever he says might be misconstrued by her. Ryan is a stand up guy and a likeable hero but an Alpha he is not. For me, heroes in this Susan Stoker world has to be Alpha, not only must they be sex-on-a-stick, they ought to exude confidence and take charge attitude. I find that Ryan gave in too much to Suzie, he doesn't demand his rights and sometimes he came across as such a pushover.
Overall, I cannot recommend this book nor am I going to read anymore from this author. ...more

Ms Bright is a new author for me and since I adore Susan Stoker's Special Forces series, I just had to read this book. So glad I did because I really, really liked it.
I like how Ms Bright incorporated a couple of Susan Stoker's original characters (Ghost, Rayne) into the story. A good story can only stand on its legs if the 2 main characters are well written and I find Ms Bright did a very good job with Lorelei and Liam aka "Whisper". Can I just add that I LOVE both names?! Both Lorelei and Liam complements each other and you can sense their sizzling chemistry through the pages. I do however, like some issues like Loreilei with her annoying stepsister resolved as I find that it was left hanging. I could pick out a few other instances where I think the scene weren't really thought out properly but it didn't bother me too much, so that's fine.
I did feel it was a tad too long and it could do with a bit of trimming but overall I highly recommend this book....more

Easily one of my favourites in the ARR's Until kindle world series. Brynne Asher is a new author for me and at the end of this book, I want to delve more into the Carpino family. I've read all of the Until books but I didn't read any Carpino books but I didn't get lost. I do wish this book is longer as I didn't want to leave Avery and Link. They both have great chemistry together and although Avery is pretty young (20yrs old), she didn't irritate me at all.

Elle Christensen is a new author for me, so I went in hoping that I would at least like her writing style. I don't like. I LOVE it! Until Rayne is easily my top 3 favourite book in ARR's Until kindle world series.
For those of us who are familiar with Aurora Rose Reynolds "Until" series, we might remember Nick Stevenson ... the pretty much "bland" button-up shirt "boy next door" guy who dared approached November in "Until November". Now because of this Nick is not Asher's favourite person because Asher is super possessive of November. I'm so happy that Nick has his own book and wow, wow, wow ... it's always the quiet seemingly boring ones, eh? I love this Nick, his OTT Alpha shines through and he's so panty melting. I also love that he could see through Rayne's perceived bohemian lifestyle. He knew that what she really longed for was to settled and he vowed he would be the man to give it to her but at the same time to let her inner gypsy run free.
I ended reading this book with a swoony sigh and a satisfied smile. A must read!...more

My review might be the anomaly amongst the majority here, however, it has to be said. I didn't quite enjoy this book when compared to the other books My review might be the anomaly amongst the majority here, however, it has to be said. I didn't quite enjoy this book when compared to the other books from this ARR's kindle world series that I've read so far. Where's infamous BOOM? Where's the OTT Alpha trait? Lastly, where are the interactions between ARR's Mayson characters and no, just having a small scene with Asher and November is such a throwaway, an afterthought! I don't feel any connection with this story and ARR's Until series. Not at all. Quite disappointing.
Don't get wrong, if you take out the fact that this was supposed to be set within ARR's Until series then yes, this was a really good book. The angst, the emotional wringer that the characters go through was heartbreaking. Allen was such a tortured hero that tried really hard to redeemed himself, unfortunately he is not ARR's BOOM hero material which this book should be based upon. That is why it was a disappointing read for me....more

"You're not broken, Marina. You're special. You're everything I never knew I wanted."
Mariana aka Ari has a secret that made her sad and questions her self worth. Along came Arsen with his Alpha arrogance and sexy self. I always have a soft spot for tiny heroines paired with tall hulking heroes and this is why I love this story so much. KL Donn is a new author for me and I'm already liking the style, the words on the page really evoke deep emotions and there were some scenes that I had to reach for my tissue box. To me, Arsen is a perfec book boyfriend. Oh he did a jerky move, not intentionally but it still want me to kick his ass. However, he grovelled so beautifully so I just have to forgive him. Love love love their epilogue.
"Baby, I would move heaven and earth to get to you."
KL Donn introduced us the Arsen's siblings and I'm hoping the next book is about Kol....more

As for Ethan, I'm so happy that he's not too in-your-face kind of Alpha, his character suits Cameron to a tee. He is assertive but he knew when to give Cameron space, he is very supportive and the best part is, he is so freaking sexy. The attraction is instant and yes, there's instalove but it doesn't feel force. Even though this is a novella, I didn't feel rush reading the story and that takes some skill. The marriage proposal scene was perfectly done. I did fine one glaring editing error, made a wince a bit. A thorough editor should have spot that mistake. All in all I do recommend this book. Protecting Olivia is a hot, sexy novella and I believed there will be another book within this Kindle World featuring Jaxon and Violet. I cannot wait! Fair warning, there is an unresolved issue that I hope will be ironed out with Jaxon and Violet's book, it's just a mini cliffhanger but don't worry, our main characters do have their HEA in this book. Thank yoI'm still trying to get myself settled down enough so that I can write a comprehensible review. CP Smith, I love you. I love you. I love you! Thank you ever so much for writing Susan and James BOOM story.
They are the OG of BOOM in Aurora Rose Reynold's bestselling Until series. They are the parents of the 4 Alpha Hunky Mayson boys. I thought those 4 Mayson boys were Alpha as fuck but heck, they slightly pales in comparison to their dad James Mayson. This story has abundance romance, instalove, sizzling sex scenes and even suspense. For CP Smith to be able to write it all in a novella is truly commendable.
I also like to thank Aurora Rose Reynolds for her amazing foresight in bringing in these talented authors like CP Smith (new author for me .. so yay!) to the Until series family. This book is a standalone, you don't have t read ARR's Until series but I highly recommend that you do in order to have the entire BOOM experience....more

A novella that is quintessentially so Sarah O'Rourke's, you just cannot missed these dynamic duo's style of writing. Luka is very OTT with his male alpha-ness and sometimes I find that a tad hard to swallow but I do have to agree that his character is perfect for the premise of this book. It is after all about the BOOM! I do like Michelle (who is the bestie of Ashlynn from Aurora Rose Reynolds highly successful book series which this Kindle World is based on ... go grab those books if you haven't already!). Anyway, Michelle is a true hoot and is quite endearing. I do wish that there's a more indepth scene where Luka manages to smooth Michelle's fears. I didn't want this novella to end and I wished it was longer.
This is the first book in this Kindle World series that I read, looking forward to read from all the different authors....more
