Samantha Herndon is running from someone she loved and trusted. That someone, her fiance Leon Stanton, turned out to be someone she didn't really knowSamantha Herndon is running from someone she loved and trusted. That someone, her fiance Leon Stanton, turned out to be someone she didn't really know . A killer and a thief and now he's after her because of what she knows. He will stop at nothing to keep her from sharing what she's discovered about him. Not even the strong forces of a tornado can stop the chase. Amish man Micah King is struggling to get inside his barn when a red car comes hurtling through his wheat field and lands on its side inches from him. As the storm subsides he checks the car and discovers a small dog and a Englisher woman inside, who is badly hurt. He must help her the best he can. Little does he know what lies ahead for him and his siblings. This gripping suspense story kept me on the edge of my seat and glued to the pages. I liked how the story played out and I thought the two main characters had strong wills and personalities. No matter what they tried to do to keep Samantha away from Leon he always seemed to be one step ahead of them every time they made a move. I thought the book was entertaining and unpredictable. Along with all of this action, romance also became a part of this story. I recommend Amish Country Secret to readers of Suspense Fiction, fans of Lenora Worth and readers of Love Inspired books. It's the fifth book of the author's Amish Seasons series. It can be read as a stand alone but characters are bought over from the other books in this series. I purchased a copy of this book from Amazon. A favorable review was not requested. All opinions expressed here are my own.

They were secondary characters,Kyle being Harleys younger brother. In A Precious Gift Kyle and Gabby are the main characters. Gabby faces a life changing situation in the first chapter of this book. Nothing will ever be the same for her again and she can't go back, only forward. This could end her relationship with Kyle. What will her mother and brother think? What is she going to do? Kyle is very happy in his relationship with Gabby. In fact he thinks that he loves her. His brother Jim thinks he should break it off with her because she isn't Amish. Kyle tells him to mind d his own business and the two argue. What will his Amish parents and family think about his growing devotion to an English girl? Will they try to talk him into ending the courtship? I enjoyed this story because it was very realistic. I did feel that Kyle had wonderful parents who stood behind their son. Kyle seemed like a responsible and caring person. I liked how protective he was of Gabby and her feelings. This novella drew me in quickly and kept my interest and attention to the very end. The book also gives readers a sneak peak into The Protective One, the next book in the series. This book would be ideal for all fans of Shelley Shepard Gray and for readers of Amish fiction and Christian Fiction. I highly recommend it for your reading pleasure. I downloaded a Kindle ebook version of A Precious Gift. A review was not requested. All opinions expressed here in this review are my own.

What I love about this was that it is a mystery about a beautiful necklace that turns up inside a hidden drawer of an Amish made dresser, that Diane Weatherly had purchased used, from Samuel Yoder. Also there's a second mystery about the disappearance of a well known author. And how does Claire Weatherly fit into all of this? Well you know our Claire. She won't rest until she locates the owner of the mysterious necklace. All she wants is to return it to its rightful owner.
I thoroughly enjoyed this mini mystery. Drew me in at the start of the book and kept me to the last page. Even though it's a short read it was every bit of what readers have come to expect from a Laura Bradford cozy mystery. Although no one was murdered in Plain As Day this reader was not disappointed and felt the book fulfilled my reading needs and expectations. All readers of Cozy Mystery and Amish Fiction will love this book. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I have. I downloaded a Kindle ebook copy of this book from The Ohio Digital Library. As I was browsing ebooks on Amazon this beautiful cover called out to me. I couldn't pass it by. Being familiar with the author's writing I purchased the ebook. I should mention here, and as you will know by the books title it is a Christmas romance story too. From the first Chapter it quickly became edge of seat suspense and continued on that way to the last chapter. I so love a book that pulls me in like this one did. Alisha Braxton, who was on her way home to spend Christmas with her grandma Willis , made a quick stop at a town festival hoping to find some last minute gifts in some of the shops there. Pulling into a parking place she witnessed a double murder and the killers knew she seen them do it. She became the only eye witness and from that minute and on into the following days, her life became a living nightmare as she fled from the killers who were pursuing her. She called out to private investigator, Nathan Craig for help. Now they are both fleeing for their lives. These killers are smart and ruthless in their Chase. Will Alisha and Nathan be able to stay one step ahead of them? Amish Christmas Hideaway will capture all readers of Suspense thrillers. Although the two main characters are not Amish the plain people do get into the story so readers of Amish Fiction would like this book too. It's written by Lenora Worth and published by Love Inspired so it's clean read and Christian Fiction. I highly recommend it for your reading pleasure. I purchased a Kindle ebook copy from Amazon. Not since reading The Hiding Place by Holocaust survivor Corrie Ten Boom have I read such a well researched and realistic book about life behind the locked gates and barb wire fences of a Nazi Jewish concentration and extermination camp. This is a fiction story about a part of world history that actually happened during WWII. I was completely drawn into this book almost from the beginning. There was one part of this story that I wished would have made the ending have a different outcome but not wanting to be a spoiler I’m not going to share here what it was. The story was riveting in some places and heart breaking to see how cruelly the occupants of Auschwitz-Birkenau were treated by the SS Nazi Soldiers and Prison guards who went out of their way to tantalize and make the lives of the Jewish and other prisoners more miserable. The guards would then stand back and laugh at their prisoners in their misery. I thought the book was original and informative. Definitely a page turner. After finishing this book I walked away with a better understanding of what really happened behind the walls of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Prison camp during the war years in occupied Poland.
This book is a fictional story about a Polish midwife named Ana Kaminski and a Jewish nurse, Ester Pasternak. Ana worked underground with the Resistance to help get Jewish people out of the ghetto in Łódź Poland. Ester lived in the Jewish ghetto with her husband and family and worked at the makeshift hospital caring for the sickly and injured patients. Both ladies ended up being sent to the dreaded Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration and extermination camp . Their lives were spared because of their medical professions. Both worked together in the camp’s crowded maternity center. The Nazi officers would take the blonde haired perfect babies from their mothers and put them up for adoption with German married couples . Ana and Ester secretly tattooed these babies under their armpits with the same ID prison number that their mothers had, hoping that after the war they could be reunited once again with their rightful parent. It was a risk the midwife and nurse were willing to take so that the mothers could have some hope in such a dark and horrible place.
This is only a small part of the story but I want you to read this book and see for yourself what made it the best one I’ve read this year. I highly recommend it to readers of WWII fiction and fans of the Author. This book is scheduled to be released on 5/31/22.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of The Midwife of Auschwitz. All thoughts and opinions about the book are my own.

Tricia decides to go to the family cottage near Walnut Creek as a get away. Her family is vacationing in Florida but she choose to stay home. Unfortunately the weather takes a turn for the worse as a blizzard blows into the area trapping her at the cottage without heat and power. In desperation she calls her brother Andy for help. This novella mainly focusses on Andy , Tricia and Logan. In book one Andy has already died . The author wanted her readers to get to know Andy in this short story. Andy has always been the person people have turned to for help. He's a born leader and all his friends have always looked up to him. Can he get help for his stranded sister before it's too late? This is a nice short read to kick off the Walnut Creek series. I didn't want to miss reading it. Actually I've read the first two books of the series. All fans of Shelley Shepard Gray will want to read this novella before reading into the series. It's a story about how friends stick together and help each other in times of need. I down loaded a copy of Friends to the End from Amazon. A review was not requested. All opinions shared here are my own.

Miller’s Loves Journey in Sugarcreek series. Although it is an older book it was my first time reading it. I loved all the characters which made the book come to life. It was a mixture of Amish and English characters. There were some edge of seat parts to the book that kept me turning the pages. I gave it five stars because it was entertaining, unpredictable, original, easy to read, inspirational, and yes I like to see that in a book. I thought it was realistic because the main characters had good and bad things happening to them during the coarse of the book. I’m definitely wanting to read book three and four of this series.
Rachel and Joe get married and together with Bobby become a family. Rachel gets pregnant and Joe finds out he’s penniless. A new character enters the story , Carl Bateman and readers get to learn about why he plays an important part of this book. Rachel has a hard time finding forgiveness in her heart towards someone who has hurt her deeply. Darren Matthias , Joe’s brother returns and readers get to glimpse his good side. Bertha, Lydia and Anna, Rachel’s three aunts are still running the B&B and are a big part of this story. Near the end there’s an unpredictable twist to the story that you won’t want to miss.
Readers of Amish Fiction and Suspense Books will find this book to their liking. It is part of a series but it could be read as a standalone book. I would recommend reading it in order because characters from book one are carried over into this book.

I have always been very curious about the Amish and their lifestyle. Linda Byler had added nuggets of gold to this story about the Amish lifestyle, for readers like me. I have read the first book that introduced readers to a very young Lizzie so I enjoyed this book that bought me up to date on an older Liz. I thought the characters were realistic and the author is truthful in this book when she gives her characters good and bad personalities. I was drawn into the story and loved it. Liz Byler was engaged to be married to Ray three years ago but he broke her heart when he called off the engagement one month before the wedding date. He wasted no time in dating Liz's best friend and then marrying her. Liz has guarded her heart for the past three years to protect herself from being hurt again. When her new boss Matthew Zook shows interest and wants to spend time with her Liz struggles with trusting him or any man for that matter. Matthew Zook is very handsome but Liz is very insecure and doesn't want to open her heart only to be hurt again. All the women at work flirt with Matthew and he seems to enjoy it. Wouldn't it be best to just stop seeing him and go back to being just single Liz? I recommend this book to readers of Amish Fiction. It can be read as a stand alone. I received a complimentary arc copy of this book from the Author and Publisher through Netgalley. A favorable review was not requested. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

I found this one to be confusing and never really was able to get into the story. Perhaps if I had read the other books in the series then I might have been able to follow along. I was not at all surprised by who turned out to be the Whodunnit. I felt the books ending dragged out for far too long. Just not my cup of Christmas cheer. I realize that this book has many five star reviews . I thought it had a beautiful cover and the cat was my favorite character. I don’t recommend this book to readers who are offended by bad language. In about the third or fourth chapter of the book the cussing started . Unprepared and unexpected it was almost as though a fist popped out of the page and punched me in the face. Though I will say the book didn’t have a lot of swearing but it was just the words that were used. Readers that have been following this series will want to read this book. I throughly enjoyed the humor the Author added through out the story. This book had me Laughing out loud in the first chapter. There are other emotions that come to life in the book and I feel that is what made it such a great read. I loved the characters with their many different personalities that added so much to this story. The story plot was original and kept me flipping pages to the ending. A new Amish neighbor moves next door the Yoder farm. It isn’t long before he lets the Yoders know that they have been using six acres that belong to the farm he just bought. He wants their fence moved and the acres returned to him. Ada Yoder and her Dad Mervin Yoder feel the acres belong to them because no one has lived on that farm or kept it up for twenty years. Ada will do what it takes to keep those six acres even if she has to fight her new neighbor to keep them. Handsome Enos Hoover refuses to let the matter drop and the fight begins. Enos not only has to fight Ada but also his disgruntled angry mother who isn’t the least bit happy to be living in Colorado . Tabitha Hoover wants nothing more than to see her son’s plans fail so he will move them both back to Lancaster. Ada just wants to see things go back to the way they were before sneaky Enos Yoder moved next door. I recommend The Amish Quiltmaker’s Unattached Neighbor to readers of Amish Fiction and Christian Fiction. Fans of Jennifer Beckstrand will not want to miss reading this fun book. It is book six of the Amish Quiltmaker Series. It can be read as a standalone but most of the characters have been carried over to this book from the other five books.
