"One thing Carrie Underwood forgot to mention: after you take a Louisville slugger to his headlights, and after you slash all four tires of your cheating ex-boyfriend's truck, you get arrested and charged with willful destruction of property."
L.E. Bross delivers a stunning and sexy emotional heartfelt romance in her newest release, Right Where You Are. As an avid reader, I have read my fair share of books that dealt with the theme of spoiled rich girl falling in love with the bad boy from the other side of the tracks and after awhile the storyline can get generic. But in the case for Right Where You Are, Ms. Bross implemented a storyline of spoiled rich girl falling for the bad boy but made it so much more. She was able to douse her readers with layers upon layers of raw emotions that will make you FEEL.
When Avery Melrose caught her longtime boyfriend cheating on her, she does what any sensible woman does at the time. She reacts and that means taking a bat and damaging his truck. So yes, Ms. Carrie Underwood, your song was taken into account but what Ms. Underwood forgot to mention is that you can face criminal misdemeanor charges for destruction of property. And for Avery Melrose that means 300 hours of community service and a hefty fine on property damages. In order for her to complete her 300 hours of community service, she is forced to take a semester off college. So this rich and spoiled daughter will have to trade in her designer clothes for an orange jumpsuit to picking up trash on the side of highways.
"She gave me hope that things could be better, and I needed that as much as I needed air to breathe. Avery was my air. And I might not deserve her, but I was going to do my damnedest to make her feel cherished and important."
Avery Melrose never thought her life would take a turn from sorority girl to now a girl with a misdemeanor record. It is often said things happen for a reason. And this mistake might actually be the best thing for Avery. When Avery meets Seth Hunter, who was recently released from prison, sparks of attraction was tangible from the start. Soon Avery begins to see the real Seth. She begins to know the young man who went to prison trying to protect his baby sister from their evil stepfather. As Avery and Seth begin to spend more time together with each other, Avery begins to find her true happiness. Seth brings out a whole new light and self-discovery. But what happens when Seth realize that he can't offer Avery the castle and the life she truly deserves? Can Avery make Seth see that she doesn't need prince charming, but only him?
"It didn't matter that I wasn't looking for complications in my life. This funny, innocent, unpredictable girl owned me now. And I knew without a doubt that I would give her anything she wanted. All she had to do was ask."
I adored Right Where You Are and the heartwarming message that it sends to readers. I love getting lost in a book where you can see the changes in Avery and Seth. Ms. Bross did an amazing job showcasing and emphasizing the gift of second chances. Avery was given the second chance to see her potential and to discover her true passion in life. And Seth was able to see that his criminal record doesn't define him. He may have been born on the other side of the tracks but it is up to him to make the changes in his life. And as for the love aspect of the story, this book was brimming with so much passion, sensuality, and palpable connections. While this book doesn't have an epilogue, the author ends this book with a satisfying HEA but a part of me wished for a bit more. The writing in this book was clean and precise. Overall, I enjoyed this refreshing New Adult Romance from L.E. Bross.
A fast paced political suspense thriller!!!!! Dangerous Games by Tess Diamond was a well written suspense thriller that will keep readers engaged as we try to figure out who is behind the kidnapping of a Senator's daughter. And when FBI hostage negotiator, Maggie Kincaid is assigned to the case, it brings back haunting memories of her past. Can this hostage negotiator be able to save the young girl's life with the help of ex-forces security expert, Jake O'Connor? And as a Maggie delves deeper to unlocking what is the motive for kidnapping a Senator's daughter, will she uncover more secret political unraveling? And most importantly will Maggie and Jake be able to save the daughter before time runs out?
Dangerous Games was a fast paced suspense thriller that had readers like myself glued to their e-readers. Ms. Diamond perfectly executes and interweaves Maggie's past into the storyline giving readers and in-depth reason as to why this kidnapping case is taken so personally. This book felt like you were watching a movie play before your eyes. There was never a dull moment into the book. I definitely need book two stat after that cliffhanger ending. So if you are looking for a suspense thriller that is dangerously exciting then I would recommend Dangerous Games.

A once in a lifetime opportunity to travel to Patagonia and then stumble upon a sexy Scottish mountaineer. Ummm, that sounds like one adventure I would love to embark upon. And did I forget to mention that a big part of the story takes place in a tent with a hot rugged Scottish mountaineer? So yes, Lia Riley has indeed taken her readers on one passionate, sexy, and touching journey filled with a love on the ledge.
As readers trek in this whirlwind and fast paced romance, Lia Riley has woven a story filled with raw emotions, heartbreak, adventure and new beginnings. She has somehow managed to create not only an outdoor adventure but also an adventure where love propels. Auden Woods has always taken the safe route, and so when she was offer an opportunity to work for an outdoor magazine to jump start her journalism career, she was ready to trade in her heels for hiking boots. And so when Auden finds herself in need of rescuing, she never expected Rhys MacAskill to skillfully have her in knots. As Rhys and Audeen find themselves in survival mode during a storm, these two suddenly find themselves not only bundling against the winds but also an unexpected whirlwind of feelings that will hit both of them much harder. Auden was the calm to Rhys storm and Rhys breathed new life into Auden. Hence, they perfectly complimented each other.
As much as I did enjoy the book, my only complaint was the ending was a bit rushed for my taste. I just wished Ms. Riley was able to extend and elaborate more of the happily ever after ending for Auden and Rhys. But other than that, With Every Breath was still and and enjoyable read. It was sweet, sexy, and emotional.
Cha-ching!!! Jennifer Probst brings her readers back to Sin City in Play Me, the second installment to the Steele Brothers Series. And this time, Mrs. Probst has delivered a winning hand!! Play Me was sinfully hot as another Steele brother is off the market when he finally met his perfect match. Roman Steele was tired of the easy women of Vegas who will bend to his will. He was looking for a woman who would be able to intrigue and stimulate him mentally, emotionally and sexually. So when he was matched up with the Queen of Cards, Sloane Keller, via the same matchmaking agency that worked for his older brother, Roman couldn't be more thrilled because Sloane was definitely what he wanted. He was attracted to her confidence, beauty, intelligence and independent spirit. Also he loved the fact that she could match him sexually and submit to his dominance in the bedroom. So after their one hot primal night together, will Sloane be able to place her heart on the line and take a gamble on Roman? Or will this Queen of Cards be folding her hands?
Play Me was definitely a steaming hot novella. I was instantly drawn to Roman and Sloane as they really showed that they were indeed the perfect pair. Besides having hot sexual chemistry, they balanced each other when it came to dominance and submission. Their palpable chemistry was something that couldn't be denied. As always, Ms. Probst did a great job in balancing sexy times as well the sweet and intimate moments of the couple.
The long awaited final storm has finally rolled and landed in Storm, Texas. Are the residents of Storm ready and prepared for the aftermath? Well, one thing is for certain, all those dirty secrets, scandals, betrayals, and lies are finally revealed. Dee Davis did an amazing job wrapping up the first season of the Rising Storm in this eight installment, aptly titled Thunder Rolls as she was able to leave one nasty aftermath of destruction as family bonds of Storm residents are ripped apart. The truth of Senator Rush and his proclivities for younger women are finally exposed in such a manner that reminds readers hell has no fury like a woman scorned. And boy oh boy, Dakota is out for revenge. In the backdrop of the Founders Day Parade, Hannah went about her feelings for Tucker in such a manner that I didn't quite agree upon since she and Tucker were discovered having an affair, leaving Tate feeling betrayed by his girlfriend and his own brother. And as the truth of Ginny is exposed, can Logan ever trust her after the known possibility that the child she is carrying could be Senator's Rush? So one thing is for certain, this small town of Storm was hit with one destructive gush of truth? What awaits for the residents of Storm? Well, I guess I will have to wait for season two to get my answers.
Overall, I think Dee Davis wrapped up season one in such a manner that left me wanting to know more. There are still many secrets left hidden so I can't wait for season two as floodgates of raw emotions come barreling through Storm, Texas. One thing is for certain, Storm residents better take cover because I think a new storm is brewing and this time I believe it could possibly leave an even more deadly aftermath.
In this 7th installment of the Rising Storm Series Lisa Mondello did an amazing job with this episode, Weather The Storm. In this episode, the author captured readers attentions with an emotional pull of a real family trying to weather the storm as they struggle with how to deal with their autistic son. I really enjoyed this installment because there was no scandal, sex, or lies. It's refreshing to finally see a family trying to work through their problems and I loved that the Tara and Bryce were able to come together as a family unit. A part of me is thankful that there is one sane family in this town of sex, scandals, and lies. What drew me into this episode was the author did a great job incorporating heart, honesty, and raw vulnerability. Lisa Mondello is a new author for me but after reading this episode, I look forward to checking out her other works. Ahh....one more episode left and I can't wait to see how this serial will wrap up.
Sinfully sexy and deliciously wicked!!!! Emma Hart whip up another sizzling hot read that will have e-readers burning up!!!! Who knew going on a blind date could be oh so sexy? Well, in this case, only Emma Hart can deliver one tantalizing sinful sexy meeting of two strangers. Although this book was classified as a novella, Emma Hart was able to pack so much into the book allowing readers to be invested with Carter and Bee's relationship. With hot sexual tension and a book brimming with steamy passion, Emma Hart delivered one sexy read that will have you begging for more Carter!!! If you love hot possessive alpha male with a dirty mouth, then I highly recommend you to read Blind Date!!!
Be prepared to get licked!!!!! Yes, readers will be salivating as Brooke Blaine serves up a wickedly delightful deliciously sinful sexy scoop of hotness, fun, screaming orgasm with an extra scoop of humor and extra sprinkle of nuts in her newest romantic comedy, LICKED. Brooke Blaine has easily become one of those authors that I gravitate towards to. In my opinion, she can cover any genre whether it be erotic romance, suspense and romantic comedy. Brooke Blaine does it all. And let me tell you, she DELIVERED. Yes, Brooke Blaine delivered or in this case, scooped up a fun, fresh, unfiltered sexy love triangle that will have you addicted and begging for more.
Ryleigh Phillips is about to get licked!!!! This ice cream shop owner is melting in her own personal dilemma that has gotten quite sticky!!!! Two hot gorgeous single men vying for her attention. One happens to be her high school crush and the other happens to be her high-school crush's roommate, who happens to be her new contractor. What is Ryleigh to do? Can this beautiful bombshell make up her mind before she finds herself in a sticky situation? So what flavor will be Ryleigh be licking.... her high-school crush or the sexy carpenter?
I honestly don't want to spoil anything for readers because LICKED was a story that you will want to sit back and savor. The writing and storyline were clean, fresh, and chock full of entertainment. There was never a dull moment in this book. And as for characters, I loved them. They were smart, fun, witty, humorous and oh so naughty!!!! LICKED is a prime example of romantic comedy done right. Ms. Blaine gave you depth, humor, sexiness, and a storyline that was fresh and modern. So if Ms. Blaine wanted us to get licked, well mission accomplished because after taking a lick of her new romantic comedy, I'm hooked!!!!
On Dublin Street series has been one of my favorite series ever since Samantha Young introduced us to Joss, Braden, Ellie, Adam and the other cast of characters that makes up this amazing series. And in this recent addition to the series, One King's Way, Ms. Young once again charms her readers with this sweet, beautiful and touching romantic novella.
If you are a big fan of the series like myself then you would probably remember the scene where a hot Scottish bartender kissed Joss in front of Braden Carmichael On Dublin Street to make Braden jealous. Well, that hot and sexy bartender is Craig Lanaghan and this time, this playboy is gonna meet the woman who will rock his world and change his manwhore ways.
Craig has always been the non-commitment kind of guy. He loves to flirt and charm the ladies. And that has always been a bonus since he relies on those tips. Besides being a bartender, Craig is a family man. He loves his mother and younger sisters and has stepped up as the man of the household when his father had passed away. As of the moment, he is enjoying his playboy ways but that all changes when Rain Alexandar walks into his bar. The moment he saw Rain, he wanted her. He was intrigued by her charming and adorable fashion sense and that she did not easily give into his charms when he introduced himself to her. When Craig continues to run into Rain, he convinces her to go on a date with him. And soon one date becomes to several and the next thing you know, Rain and Craig are in a relationship. This once playboy finds himself happy and in love with Rain.
Rain Alexander is a hopeless romantic. She loves the idea of a hero that sweeps her off her feet. She never expected to meet someone like Craig, a man who had her smitten in the short time that they have known each other. She loved that she could be her carefree self when she was with him. He made her feel special, loved and cherished. But when her sister calls her that she wants to move the business to Australia and that they should live there, Rain must decide between her sister and Craig. When Rain finally found the love of her life, can she sacrifice her happiness for her sister? Can Craig leave his family behind in Scotland and move to Australia?
I honestly believe that Samantha Young can write anything and has a way of spellbinding her readers into falling in love with her characters. And One King's Way was the perfect example of a sweet, touching, and cute love story. Since it was a novella, the relationship of Craig and Rain maybe a bit rushed and insta-love but I didn't mind it all because it worked for them. One King's Way was a charming novella that left you smiling as Craig and Rain begin to write their epic love story. And as an added bonus as to why you should read this book, my favorite lovebirds Braden and Joss makes an appearance.
There are three sides to every story- yours, theirs and the truth!!! And this sentiment and message is the main emphasis in the book SEAL Brotherhood: Lucas by Sharon Hamilton. This is my first book that I have read from this author and it won't be my last. Ms. Hamilton was able to integrate layers of steam, sexiness, romance, angst, and suspense into the story-line.
Right off the opening pages, I was SOLD!!! Who wouldn't want to read a book about hot sexy NAVY SEALS!!!!! Special Operator Lucas Shipley is shocked when he is served divorced papers from his wife after five years of marriage. He thought his issues with his wife could be reconciled but his wife wasn't having it. Lucas could embark on a dangerous secretive mission but he never expected that he would have to face an uphill battle of his marriage. When his wife served him papers, she wanted to settle the financial aspects of their marriage. Marcy Gelland is hired by Lucas's wife to handle their real estate assets. She has been told by the wife that Lucas is a manwhore and a manipulator. But when Marcy and Lucas finds themselves alone in Northern California, she finds Lucas is none of those things. Soon an electric chemistry begins to heat up between the two. Will this hero find himself getting his second chance at love?
Overall, I enjoyed this quick, steamy read that had a bit of thriller suspense thrown into the mix. Did I love the characters? I am honestly not sure about the relationship of Marcy and Lucas. I felt their relationship was so insta-lust/love and they really just about jumped into bed right off the meeting. I wished the author laid more of a groundwork as to why this couple had such a strong connection to one another. I also wished the hero, Lucas made more of an effort to want to see his kids.
A sexy hilarious unfiltered romance!!!!! Operation Foreplay by Christine Hughes is the first book that I have read from this author and it definitely won't be my last. I honestly didn't know what to expect when I started this book. And let me just say that Christine Hughes had me hooked right off the opening pages.Operation Foreplay reminded me of the television series GIRLS and Sex And The City. If you are familiar with these shows then you are well aware that these single ladies are brazen, feisty, smart, sexy, and unfiltered especially when it comes to their sex lives. And so, Christine Hughes introduces readers to one sexy blonde named Melody Ashford, who reminds me of a mixture of Samantha Jones and Carrie Bradshaw of Sex And The City. Melody is an almost thirty year old single woman living in the city, who is sassy, feisty, unfiltered and has a voracious appetite for S-E-X. Yes, that's right Melody Ashford has a greedy vagina!!! LOL.
" Honestly, I felt like vagina was going to pack up her shit and leave. She was tired of the deprivation."
Unlike her girlfriends who are in a committed relationships, Melody's relationship status is undefined. She may be considered single but in actuality she has been having an affair with her married boss for quite some time. Melody is well aware of what people would think of their relationship but she justifies it with the fact that her lover is in the process of leaving his wife and will be getting a divorce. Long story short, it takes some time for Melody to finally realize that she needs to make big changes in her life before she turns the big 3-0. After horrible hookups and an awful one night stand with a Vienna Sausage Micropeen, she decides that her lady-parts needs to take a vacation and rejuvenate as well. But what happens when her lady-parts starts craving for SEX, when her best friend's brother moves back into town. Can Melody resist her carnal lustful desires and keep her legs closed from Jared Myers? Or will this sex on a stick be her downfall?

Operation Foreplay was a fun sexy hilarious read!!!!! I loved it!!! Ms. Hughes did an amazing job writing a witty, fun, and smart storyline of modern romance. This book had it all as layers of humor, banter, friendship, and embarrassingly awkward moments are told in a fun, fresh and loud way. I laughed, cried, cringed, laughed again, got embarrassed for Melody, and then was left with a big fat smile on my face. Any book that had me inhaling a book in one sitting is definitely a must read!!! So if you are looking for your next embarrassingly sexy and fun read, then I highly recommend you to read Operation Foreplay.
LOVE. I have so much love and appreciation for Sawyer Bennett. She simply is an amazing author who continues to write beautiful love stories and LOVE: UNCIVILIZED really captured this sentiment to the core. I love when authors surprises readers with a follow-up novella that allows readers to get a glimpse of what happened to their favorite fictional characters and I couldn't be more thrilled to catch up with Zach and Moira. Love takes place eight years later and Zach and Moira are happily married with their two beautiful kids but along the way, that sizzling connection that they shared had a few bumps along the way. Zach is constantly busy at work and staying late. He is missing out on quality family time. And Moira is a stay at home mom who misses teaching. As they go on through the monotone motions of life, they both realized that they need to get back that spark and connection that made them Zach and Moira. Can Zach and Moira reignite their devotion and love for each other?
I absolutely loved this novella because it's so raw, honest and exposes the reality of any marriage. Zach and Moira could easily represent any married couple with children. Sometimes we got so busy with our work that we fail to see the really important things in life. Like quality time with the children and making more an effort to appreciate and be there for your significant other. I love that Ms. Bennett exposes that yes Moira and Zach are soulmates but they are humans who can easily make mistakes. But rest assured Zach and Moira still have that burning LOVE and spark to set hearts racing. What else can I say but go read this sweet, touching, and raw novella. Be prepared to fall in love all over again with Zach and Moira. Thank you Sawyer Bennett for this beautiful, uplifting and inspiring love story.

Episode 6 of the Rising Storm Series picks off where it last left off in the previous book. And in this episode, I found myself enjoying this installment more than the previous episode. What I particularly liked in this episode was the stirring of the drama and the upcoming storm that is approaching on the residents of STORM. Though this installment was primarily focused on Marisol Moreno and her relationship with Patrick, I thought the author did a great job incorporating the other ensemble's drama into the mix. Rebecca Zanetti did a great job writing this installment as she was able to satisfy our curiosity with the ongoing secrets and scandals. Of course on the forefront leading the torrential downpour of drama, Ginny and Dakota continue cause célèbre. I can't wait to see how this series wraps up in the last two books.
Catch Me by Jennifer Probst is a quick, hot sexy erotic second chance romance. As always, Ms. Probst reels you in with her sensual and touching story-line of a young woman rediscovering her inner strength, beauty and confidence. When Rick Steele meets Tara Denton through an exclusive club that fulfills fantasies, he was instantaneously attracted to her beauty and the strong connection that they shared that one night. But unfortunately for Tara, she was not at that point in her life to start a relationship after being in an abusive relationship for years. Will Rick be able to show Tara that he will wait for her? And will Tara be able to realize that her scars do not define her?
Personally, there is nothing like reading a Jennifer Probst book. She has a way of making you smile after each book. I enjoyed reading this quick novella but wished for a little more in the ending since it was a bit abrupt for me. But overall, Ms. Probst will douse you with hot steamy romance that is filled with hope and new beginnings for Tara an Rick.
In this seductively enticing romance, M. Robinson delivers yet again another complicated love story but this time with intricate layers and elements of first love, friendship, family, second chances, forgiveness, new beginnings, and a forbidden romance to get our hearts racing and yearning for more. With her wickedly beautiful and sinful prose, M. Robinson enchants her readers on all facets of love from first crush, first love, heartbreak, anger, lust, jealousy, and second chances. She sophisticatedly rivets her readers as she reminds readers there is nothing forbidden about love when it's your heart and true love on the line. So can an innocent love blossomed to a forever kind of love? Or will friendship and age be the deciding factor as to why two fated lovers will go on their separate ways? So in this forbidden tale of young love, can two fated mates finally realize that true love isn't meant to be easy? That love doesn't appear on command and it'll put you through hurdles but in the end, none of that will matter because it's about how you overcome these hurdles that will define your love. So can a forbidden love prosper and shatter all the doubts, insecurities, and the people that stands in their way in order to prove that there is nothing forbidden about true love?
Forbid Me is the second installment of The Good Ol' Boys Series and once again, readers are reunited with a group of friends who grew up together and had their lives intertwined. Each moment of their life was ingrained and built on their strong love for each other. And so begins the tale when a friendship gets complicated and blurred, when Jacob Foster begins to start look at his best friend's little sister a little differently. When Jacob first laid eyes on Lilian Ryder, he always saw her and treated her as his little sister that is until when he finally saw a young woman standing before him. Soon Lilian Ryder became the apple of his eyes, the beat to his heart, and the air he breathes. So what happens when the lines of what is right and wrong begins to get blurred?
The seven year age gap of Lily and Jacob was one of the biggest factor that stood in their way. It was a constant reminder to Jacob that he's toying and walking a fine line with danger especially when he knows and should be seeing her as his best friend's little sister. But when attraction, lust and love soon begins to take precedence, Jacob and Lily find themselves at a crossroad in their relationship. To start something that could lead something so beautiful. Or take a chance on a love that could destroy years of friendship. As they could no longer deny their feelings for one another, how can something so wrong feel so right?
M. Robinson has truly stepped up and elevated her writing to a whole new level as she delivers a book that was filled with everything that I loved, craved, and wanted in a forbidden romance. Ms. Robinson has sensitively and sophisticatedly delivered a forbidden romance that will set hearts racing as readers realize that the love of Jacob and Lily is something that can't be stopped. I loved that the author was able to make readers FEEL all the raw emotions, heartbreak, and loss of Jacob and Lily as they faced the uphill battle of their relationship. M. Robinson did an amazing job highlighting and showcasing the passion and tangible bond that Jacob and Lily had for each other was built on a solid foundation of love, understanding and respect. Nothing about their love was tainted and forbidden when readers realize, see, and feel their true love coursing through each of the pages. So if you are looking for a book that speaks volumes on love, honesty, vulnerabilities, and second chances then I highly recommend you to read Forbid Me. The only forbidden thing about reading this book is denying yourself to read an epic love story between two fated lovers who were meant to have their lives entangled with one another.
Barely Breathing by Brenda Rothert is a heartfelt and beautiful novel that captures the meaning and essence of an intense love between two strangers. A love that is similar to the act of breathing. And so, Brenda Rothert will breathlessly steal our hearts and breaths with her gorgeous prose and raw characters in this heartwarming and touching tale of second chances and a love that you can't live without.
Atonement. The reparation for one's sins and wrongs. For Matthew Kane, forgiving oneself is one of the hardest things to do when your past mistakes and demons can haunt you. Trying to start over is one way Kane knew he could atone for his mistakes but along in the process of moving forward, he never thought he would meet someone to see past his sins, strong personality, and tattoos that is until he meets Vivian Marceau, who will show him what it means to truly breathe.
"There was nothing but us. Our bodies molded together, fitting perfectly. My cheek was pressed to his chest, and I heard the faint beat of his heart. Even when I was exhausted, Kane made me feel utterly rejuvenated."
Kane has never thought of himself as prince-charming or the hero. He was an ex-convict who is trying to make an honest living out of his life. So when he finds himself rescuing a young woman from an attack, he never thought Vivian would be the returning the favor by breathing life and love into his empty heart. So can a man who has lived his life closed off get his second chance at life? To start all over with a clean new slate with the woman he loves? Or will his stubbornness and fear be his downfall?
Barely Breathing was one of those quick reads that will leave you yearning for more Kane and Viv. I loved that Brenda Rothert was able to showcase an intense tangible, palpable, and steamy connection with beautiful undertones of second chances, hope, love, and balance. Though this book, may have that insta-love/inst-lust aspect, it worked for this couple and their strong personalities. Kane was lost in the dark and Viv was someone who radiates light into his monotonous existence. Together, they find a happy balance and medium. Though they may be complete opposites in every sense, their undying love and devotion for one another is the same. So if you are looking for a book that emphasizes that love heals all wounds, then Barely Breathing is the book for you. Prepare to fall in love with Matthew Kane as he realizes that he was barely breathing until he met a love that was worth breathing and fighting for.
