In this fifth book of The World of Nightwalkers, Ms. Frank brings back all the previous characters of the series in this final saga. I highly recommend you to read the previous books in order to fully grasp and understand the characters and their motivations. With that being said, Ms. Frank creates a realm where the Nightwalkers must work together to save themselves and the human race. This final book was a perfect conclusion where romance, adventure, fantasy, and paranormal was perfectly incorporated.

Jennifer Bernard has readers running around the bases as she delivers a home run love story that will definitely set hearts swooning!! Ms. Bernard does not strike out when it comes to delivering a sexy, steamy, and fun romantic read that will definitely have readers like myself caught off guard on how charming small town love can be.
Caught by You is the second book in the Love Between the Bases Series and could be read as a standalone. I was easily smitten and charmed with this delightful read. As a big baseball fan, I love when an author can create a fun romance story but still keep it fresh and sexy with a touch of raw emotions and laughter. This book hit it all in all aspects of entertainment. So if you are looking for a book that was endearing, light, and adorable then I highly recommend you to read this book. All I can say, get ready to fall in love with this book. Don't worry about the fall because Mike Solo will definitely catch you as you fall head over heels in love with him and his relationship with Donna.

Fresh. Sassy. Modern. Sweet. And a sinfully addicting chick lit!!!! Gemma Burgess is officially on my list of authors to watch out for. So I have a confession to make, I had no idea The Wild Ones was part of a series but after reading this book, I will definitely be picking up and reading the first two book of the series. With Ms. Burgess' witty, fresh, and beautiful prose, she has truly captured my attention in wanting to know these fictional characters as we explore the turmoils of every twenty-something city girl finding her way through the concrete jungle of New York City. I absolutely adore this gem of a read as Ms. Burgess allows her readers to feel and experience the life of Coco as she tries to reign in control of her life, love, friendship and work. This book was fun, sweet, hilarious, and truly a gem of a read. The writing was beautifully composed as readers like myself can see a young girl blossom into a young confident woman finding and making her mark in the world. So if you are looking for a book where characters are relatable and a story that will leave a sweet literary aftertaste then I highly recommend you to read The Wild Ones.

In this sentimental memoir, Garfield Whyte takes readers down a wistful, thoughtful, and sacchCopy provided by author in exchange for an honest review
In this sentimental memoir, Garfield Whyte takes readers down a wistful, thoughtful, and saccharine journey down memory lane in his book Nostalgia from: A City Set Upon A Hill. Set in the backdrops of Munro College, an all-boys boarding school in Jamaica, Whyte paints a literary tale of flashbacks of his fondest memory of his schooling and the significance and impact that this school bestowed upon. From the sights and sounds of the school, to the classrooms, the teachers and students, and the bricks that laid the foundation of this institution, Whyte explains why Munro, in all its simplicity during that time, was the city set upon a hill.
“There were other boarding schools in Jamaica, but none like this one. The others were duplications, as, in my view, this one was the real, authentic all boys’ high school.”
In this compound, Whyte retells of how their lives revolved around this institution. The outside world practically didn’t exist to them, because everything that they could want and needed was provided for. It was truly a city built upon a hill. It was a school that young boys aim to attend and parents hoped their child would be lucky enough to attend. You were considered lucky and fortunate to get accepted. As we read further into his memoir, we learn of his appreciation of the simple things like eating and water. The school taught him and other students to be thankful for the basic needs and in such it taught him discipline that could be used in his future life.
“Munro College was recognized as the only high school, and there was to be a one-way street that led up to that winding hillside to the city set upon a hill. After the Common Entrance Examination, my seven-year pilgrimage began.”
Each opening chapter in this memoir begins with a quote from a famous person whose quote leads into each topic Whyte introduces. This memoir is his account of his life and recollection of his memories of the students and the people that he encountered while he was a student of Munro. Through this detailed account, Whyte allows us to FEEL Munro College and why, once you are a Munronian, you are a Munronian for life. While this memoir is of his personal account, I enjoyed this personal and sentimental journey of Garfield Whyte. So if you are ready to immerse and feel of what is like to be a Munronian, then this deep, wistful recollection of memories will allow you to taste, see, and feel Munro, the city on the hill. ...more
“You’re not an afterthought. Jesus Christ, Holly. When you look at me like that, you’re my only fucking thought.”
I think it's no secret that I am a fan of Meghan March and I couldn't wait to get my hands on Dirty Pleasure, the second installment of the Dirty Billionaire Trilogy. In this second installment, the story of country starlet, Holly Wix and her billionaire husband, Creighton Karas picks off where it last left off in the previous book.
After Holly suddenly left Creighton with the goodbye note, Creighton soon follows her and decides to tag along on her tour. And this country tour got a whole new level of HOT as our dirty billionaire does what he does best.. lots of dirty and steamy sex!!!! Also, we get to see a whole new side to Creighton. Readers will begin to see Creighton begin to let his guard down. He's more protective, caring, soft and understanding of Holly and her personal needs. As readers see a whole new side to this dirty billionaire, we also learn a bit of his past and the revelation of his ex-wife. I will say that Meghan March has definitely piqued my interest with his ex-wife and I hope Ms. March will explore more of that in the final book.
“Christ, this woman is like none other; she’s a complete contradiction. An innocent sex kitten. A tentative temptress. My every fantasy wrapped up in a package that’s more dangerous to handle than dynamite.”
As much as I enjoyed this second installment, I will say Holly is beginning to test my patience with her always running away. So yes there is yet another cliffhanger ending that is very similar to Book 1. Grrr.. lol. But overall, I did enjoy this installment. It was sweet, sexy, hot, steamy and had me intrigued with Creighton and his past. I can't wait to see how Ms. March will conclude the Holly and Creighton story.
As a fan the G-Man Series, I was thrilled to read the spin-off Walk of Shame by Andrea Smith. One of my favorite characters from the series hands down had to be Easton Matthews and so I couldn't wait to read the story of Easton and Darcy's son, Weston.
Walk of Shame is definitely a little more tame than The G-Man Series but other than that I did enjoy this book quite a bit. It definitely left me with a big fat smile on my face on how incredible sweet Weston Matthews is. And of course, Andrea treated readers to snippets of Easton and Darcy.
Rich, athletic and good-looking are three words that immediately describe Weston Matthews. As a senior at a prominent Ivy League University and one of the star players in his hockey team, Weston seems to have it all. The perfect family, the friends, and endless amount of puck bunnies and soritity sisters at his beck and call. But there is one problem, Weston needs to ace his Early American Lit class in order to graduate and stay eligible to play hockey for Hardwick University.
Penny Lane is assigned to be Weston's tutor for Early American Lit. Penny isn't easily charmed by Weston. She means business when she is tutoring him. What also makes Penny Lane different from the other girls is that Penny has a secret. And it's a big secret. Well in this case, Penny Lane doesn't actually exist. Penny Lane is demure, quiet, and a geek but once you remove the wig, fake teeth, glasses, contact lens, and old lady clothes, readers are introduced to Peyton Lang. So why the disguise? Well Peyton needed this tutoring project for her research thesis. So what will happen when Easton discovers that Penny Lane is actually the hot girl that he is attracted to?
Walk of Shame was your sweet college romance that was able to weave heart, family, friendly banter and emotions but with an added twist of secrets. What I really liked about this book was that Andrea Smith was able to show character growth with Peyton's character. She was able to showcase Peyton discovering that that not every rich male is pompous and arrogant. Weston was able to show us that he is not your stereotypical jock. He is smart, kind, sweet and an an all-around guy with a heart of gold. As an added bonus, Weston doesn't need any tutoring in the pleasure department because that is one subject he can ace blindfolded. Overall, I enjoyed Weston and Peyton's story and I HOPE that Andrea Smith will write a story for Weston's sister.

He was always rough. Always raw. He fucked me however he wanted— fucked my tits, my mouth, my cunt. He’d tell me when he wanted my ass in the future, he’d take that too. And then sometimes, rarely, in the middle of the night, he’d be sweet. Pulling me into his lap, kissing me, caressing me. Letting me fly but anchoring me with his eyes. Speaking words he’d never dare say in the light of day. Words that I’d never dare say in return. It was these times that I felt the most connected to him. It was these times that he scared me most.”
A sinfully seductive erotically charged romance that was brimming with intensity, power, control, sex, deception, and an intricate web of secrets and lies. Laurelin Paige has completely hypnotized her readers as she lures them down the proverbial rabbit hole of mind games, sex and fourberie. With her seductive and gorgeous prose, she has captured our attention as she paints a literary tale of a young heroine seeking the truth of what happened to her best friend. As Emily Wayborn is immersed in finding the truth, what secrets will she unmask? Will the truth lead her further into danger? Or into the arms of a mysterious and dominating man? Is the truth worth it? In this wicked game of cat and mouse, will Emily Wayborn discover that the first touch might be the deadliest of all?
First Touch by Laurelin Paige was simply..PERFECTION!!!!! This book had every element that I wanted, needed and craved in an erotic romantic suspense. Ms. Paige has perfectly weaved a romantic suspense that was dripping with seduction, eroticism, and duplicity. She had taken her readers on a whirlwind adventure as Emily tries to seek the truth and whereabouts of her best friend, Amber. As Emily embarks on this dangerous crusade of finding the truth, all clues leads to only one man. Reeve Sallis. The last lover of Amber.

Still I couldn’t catch a breath. I chased it, gasping in between each swell, never quite getting anything in my lungs before the next rush. And I wondered if I’d die like this. Die flying, soaring, rocketing to heights higher than I’d ever been. Would this be the eternity I’d be allowed to dwell in? In this overwhelming pleasure , so abundant, so consuming, so amplified that there wasn’t room for anything else. No room for fear or doubt or worry or shame or grief. Just this.”
In this seductive game, Emily makes her presence known to Reeve. She entices him and yet is spellbound by his dominant and aggressive manner. He is a man who makes Emily craves for his touch, his kisses, and the pleasure that he can only elicit. As Emily is caught up in the storm of integrating herself into his life, will she discover that this man has found a way to claim her mind, body, and soul with just his touch and presence. Can something so wrong feel so right? And the answer is yes. Unbeknownst to her, she soon finds herself slowly peeling her guarded layers to this enigma of a man. What will happen when she discovers that man she is beginning to fall for, was also in love with her best friend first? And what will happen when she discovers that this man not only demands her attention but her submission? Can she submit to this domineering man and let go?

Everything now was new. A start. A beginning. The brush of his hand across my cheek, though he’d done it many times before, it was as if this time was the first. His whispers were unheard whispers. The gasps at the back of my throat were sounds I’d never made. The way my knees buckled, how he pulled me tighter against him, the sighs between us— all new. This was our first surrender. First embrace. First kiss. First touch.”
First Touch is a book that will hold you hostage. It is one of the stories that will sinfully satisfy you but at the same time leave you begging for more. It is a story that weaves layers upon layers of seduction, mystery and suspense. It is a story that will slowly unfold and leave you craving for more Reeve Sallis. His presence in each chapter held my attention and kept me hostage as he demanded to be heard, listened and obeyed. I seriously can't wait for what awaits for Reeve and Emily and how will Ms. Paige will unfold the truth. But what I do know, FIRST TOUCH was absolutely BRILLIANT. It was decadent, seductive, sinful, provocative, and consuming. A must read and one of the best books that I have read in 2015!!!
LOUD. Loud is definitely the word to describe this spectacular debut book by Mercy Brown. Usually, when something is loud, we are often asked to lower the volume or to tone it down but that doesn't apply to this book. LOUD IS HOW I LOVE YOU was LOUD and PROUD as it paints a literary tale that screams and begs readers to experience the gorgeous prose that Mercy Brown has captured of two hearts finding the same rhythm and beat.
LOUD IS HOW I LOVE YOU is a fresh, deafening and intensely sweet and charming book that will resonate to all romance aficionados out there that LOVE is taking that risk. Taking that chance to shout out and let your love be heard. And let it be LOUD. Well, in this case there is only one way to have a love story be heard. The lyrics must be felt and let me just say Mercy Brown, I have heard you and your book not only delivers a deafening sound but this book delivers everything I wanted in a New Adult Romance.
"Stay loud so I don't lose you. I will follow the sound of you anywhere."
One night. One night was all it took for Emmy's world to be rocked on it's axis. One night with Travis, a member in the rock band that Emmy also belongs too. The one rule to not get involved with a member in the band was tossed out the window when Emmy couldn't shake out her intense attraction and feelings for Travis. But the only problem is Emmy doesn't want to ruin the band dynamics so she keeps Travis at a distance while Travis doesn't want to sweep what happened to them under the rug. He wants to make it known that this tangible connection that he has with Emmy can't be extinguished and that you must let your heart surrender to the music.
"Then he covered my mouth with a deep, heartfelt kiss. And it wasn’t everything I ever fantasized about with him. It wasn’t my dream come true. It was so much better than that."
This book captured what life and love is all about. There will be some high notes, some low notes but put together they compose an unforgettable song and melody. LOUD IS HOW I LOVE YOU comprises a story layered with love, friendship, music, life, and hope. Mercy Brown did an amazing job writing the story of Emmy and Travis. She truly captured a palpable connection of two friends who took awhile to get their love heard out loud. While Emmy may have been frustrating at times, I understood her fears because the band was her life, her family, and her purpose. And if she lost the band, it would devastate her but losing Travis would be a heartbreak that might she not be able to recover from.
As I said before earlier, Mercy Brown, I have heard you loud and clear. Your writing was fun, fresh, innovative and oh so entertaining. You made me reminisce the 90s music scene and at the same time had a love story that was meant to BE LOUD. With a lively cast of characters, Ms. Brown gave her readers a full spectrum of what looks like a vibrant and amazing series. So Mercy Brown thank you for this LOUD and BEAUTIFUL LOVE STORY!
Marquita Valentine, you have once again have me addicted with your books!!! When I read my first Marquita Valentine book, I was instantly swept away and hooked with her sweet, charming, and wholesome stories. And ever since then, I was a fan. And so when I learned that Marquita Valentine was going to write a new suspense thriller, I knew I had to get my hands on this book. And let me just say Marquita Valentine did not disappoint me at all. She DELIVERED a full throttle of adventure and sexiness in her new release, Prime Target.
“Only you. No one else could come close. I wouldn’t let them. It’s like wanting a fire to light the sky after you’ve witnessed the sunrise.”
A book store owner in the day and a lethal Russian assassin at night!!! Ummm...yes, I'm sold!!! Marquita Valentine did not have to say anymore because I knew instantly this book is going to be devoured. And let me just say you will not want to put this book down. How could you when Marquita Valentine introduces readers to Roman Smith aka Nikolai Romanov.
Roman Smith is not your ordinary shopkeeper who owns a quaint bookstore in a small town. As a shopkeeper, he hardly has any customers and that is fine by him since his bookstore is just a facade. Well, there is just one customer that he has and he looks forward to her once a week visit to his shop. There is something about Everly that Roman gravitates towards to. Her innocence, beauty, and personality breaks through Roman's hard and strong persona. Whenever he is with her, there is something about her that makes him want to be that guy who can be with her freely and open. But Roman knows that he must keep his distance from her because danger seems to always follow him.
“Ever since I first saw you, I've wanted to taste you. Will you let me?”
So when an unexpected visitor arrives at Roman's shop, he finds himself getting shot by another Russian family avenging the death of his brother, whom Roman killed. When Everly arrives at the shop and sees Roman bleeding, their two worlds begins to collide. Roman is now well aware that there are people who will threaten the life of Everly since it has become known by others that Roman cares deeply for Everly. Soon Roman and Everly embark on a whirlwind adventure in Europe as they have become prime targets of chicanery and fourberie. Can Roman be able to save Everly before it's too late? And how will Everly react to finding out that Roman Smith is Nikolai Romanov, an assassin and son of a prominent Russian mafia family?
Prime Target was just AMAZING!!! It was fast paced, action packed, suspenseful, sexy and had that romance love story to keep hearts racing and entertained. The writing was superb and the characters were phenomenal. I love reading a book where an author can vividly portray scenes that felt like I was watching a movie play before my eyes. I adored the amazing tangible chemistry of Roman and Everly. So if you are looking for a book that delivers romance, suspense and excitement then Prime Target is the book for you. I seriously can't wait for Ben's book. Marquita Valentine you have definitely delivered a book that will hold readers hostage.
Ten years old I fell in love Ten years was the price of that love Ten years later our world’s re-collide
I have always been a sucker for best friend's brother romance trope. And in Ker Dukey's latest release, TEN, I was intrigued with the blurb and couldn't wait to get my hands on this book but sadly TEN was just an okay read. The writing was great but the storyline and characters failed to grip and hold my attention. The premise of the story was a young girl named Alexandria and Dalton, the boy she fell in love with. At ten years old, she knew without a doubt that Dalton was her soulmate. And fast forward to present time, readers learn that Dalton felt betrayed by Alex and her family. As readers, we learn of the circumstances of their parting and separation. While the hopeless romantic in me was curious on how Dalton and Alex were able to overcome this hurdle, I just couldn't FEEL their connection. The way Dalton treated Alex was cruel and spiteful. I also felt Alex forgave too easily after all the emotional and physical abuse she endured.
"He was like the sun, and I was a flower waiting to bloom in his presence."
I may be in the minority of readers of who just thought this book was just ehhh but I will say that this will not deter me in reading the next book, SIX. I look forward to reading SIX's story because I was already captivated and intrigued with his character more than Ten's.
Katie Ashley whips up an emotional, sexy, erotic BDSM romance in her latest release, Subordination. If you ever have read a BDSM book, then readers are very familiar with a master and sub relationship but in the case of this book, Ms. Ashley lures her readers to the world of a Domme and her relationship with a sub.
The leading Mistress Juliette is not your standard Domme because this lifestyle was not by preference but out necessity. In the case of Mistress Juliette, better known as her real name Sophie Marie Jameson, she chose to be a Domme in order to help pay for the expenses of her father and brother. Being a Domme was a job and she never met anyone whom she wanted to control outside her job at a sex club until she met, William Foster.
William was your walking sex on the stick. He exudes total alpha male but in reality he was a submissive through and through. He was searching for that Mistress in whom he could find that special connection and he found that in Sophie. When Sophie finally submitted to her lust and sexual attraction to William, a connection was formed. It was indescribable. It was more than a mistress exerting her power and control on a sub. It was an electrical charge of possibly a life altering of two hearts.
As Sophie finally caved into giving her connection to William a try, she was in for a rude awakening when she discovered that her sub was her new boss. Will Sophie be able to continue her Mistress/Sub relationship with William after discovering he is her boss? What would happen if anyone were to discover Sophie and Williams' secret proclivities?
If you are a fan of bondage, flogging and the whole Mistress/sub relationship, then Subordination might be the book for you. While this book still had the hot erotic aspect of a romantic relationship, the author was still able to incorporate and weave strong emotional undertones of matters of the heart and family dynamics. Although this relationship might not be your conventional love story of hearts and flowers, William was still your sweet romantic hero that just happens to love submitting control to his Mistress. The story and writing flowed at an excellent pace giving readers a full balance of erotica, BDSM, romance and raw emotions. So if you are looking for a fresh, sexy, and emotional BDSM, then I would recommend Subordination by Katie Ashley.
“He tasted —and smelled— divine. Hot, alpha, badass male. Arrogant. Confident. And so yummy looking she couldn’t fathom that she was standing in his office while he was thoroughly kissing her in a way she’d never been kissed before.”
It's no secret that I am Maya Banks fan ever since I read her Breathless Trilogy. I was so excited and couldn't wait to get my hands on Mastered and meet Drake Donovan. While I know there are some mixed reviews on this book, I happen to agree that yes there were scenes that had me questioning the heroine's judgement and how realistic the story is BUT I did happen to find the story entertaining, sexy, hot, and suspenseful.
Evangeline is a good girl from a small town, who moved to New York in order to financially support her parents, whom are not able to support themselves due to their health and circumstances. Evangeline's life consist of work, work, and more work. So with a non-existent social life, she has her guards up. But when she finally decided to take a chance on dating, she was humiliated when her boyfriend dumped her right after she gave him her virginity. So when her friends decide it was time for Evangeline to let loose and show her ex-boyfriend what he had lost, Evangeline never expected her one night at VIP exclusive club in NYC will lead her to Drake Donovan.
“The price is you. All of you. I’ll own you. Every inch of you. I’m a man who is always in control of everything in my world. My world, my rules. And you have to play by my rules. I especially demand control when it comes to the women in my bed. Do you understand what I’m telling you?”
Drake Donovan is your sexy, very dominant and controlling alpha male. He likes things to be done with order and precision. So when Evangeline catches his eye, he wants her and won't stop till he claims her. Instantly, he takes control of Evangeline's life. He moved her into his apartment, provides for her financially, and has her monitored 24/7. Suddenly, Evangeline's whole world is shaken when she instantly trust Drake to take care of her.
“I do, Drake. God help me, but I do. I feel safe with you. I’ve never felt so safe in my life.”
Drake and Evangeline instantly falls into this "relationship" that was insta-lust and insta-trust. Drake made it known to Evangeline that she must obey his orders and in such he would provide for her financially and open her sexually. Their relationship is very one-sided in such that Drake holds all the power and Evangeline is swept up in this whirlwind of money and obeying and trusting Drake. Evangeline doesn't know what to make of this new found relationship because she was so used to providing for herself. Little by little, we see Drake stripped down Evangeline and parts of the old Evangeline gets lost as she tries to submit and let Drake take over. But what happens when Drake destroys the trust that Evangeline had for him? Can Evangeline go back to the man who made her feel like just a property?
“I only meant that our lovemaking won’t always be as it was tonight. I enjoy a variety of methods of sex. Rough, soft, hard, sweet. Bondage, spanking, you at my complete mercy, me in control at all times. I enjoy kink. I like the idea of my woman being available to me at all times. ”
Mastered may not be the book for everyone since the heroine is not very strong but I feel confident that Maya Banks will showcase a new strong Evangeline in the second book. While the sex scenes were hot, there were some scenes that had me on the fence since I wasn't expecting it. But other than that, I really enjoyed reading Mastered and getting to know the secondary cast of characters, whom will I assume play an integral part to the storyline. The writing as always was sexy and addicting. I wanted to know more about Drake Donovan and his business. I will just say the last 20% will definitely have readers devouring the book so fast and that cliffhanger ending had me intrigued and I can't wait to see what awaits for Evangeline and Drake.
Charming, smart, quirky and linguistically delightful!!! Love in Lowercase by Francesc Miralles was one of those rare charming romantic comedy that has a way to win hearts with its unique prose and ensemble cast of characters. In this unlikely tale of romance, an unexpected visitor more like a stray brindle-furred cat to be exact pays a lonely linguistics lecturer a visit on New Years Day and brings a wave of unexpected surprises. Thanks to this cat, Samuel soon discovers that maybe his luck and life will no longer be dull and boring. Along this fun and quirky journey, Samuel reunites with an old friend, whom he can thank his meddlesome cat for reuniting him with Gabriela. In this offbeat tale of self-discovery, Francesc Miralles mixes a colorful literary tale that weaves a literary taste of Goethe and Kafka into this fresh tale that turned a mundane predictable life into a life filled with whole new sense of vivacity.
As a Brazen girl junkie, I loved reading Katee Roberts books. And so when I finally had a chance to sit down and read The Marriage Contract, I was intrigued with the blurb. Right off the opening pages, my interest was piqued when I discovered this was a mafia romance. The heroine, Callie was arranged to marry into another mafia family but another circumstance came about so Callie was surprised to find out that she was arranged to marry the Teague O'Malleys, son of another prominent mafia family in Boston.
Instantly there is an insta-lust/love brewing between Teague and Callie. As they navigate through their arranged marriage to each other, mafia business seem to be the forefront as danger threatens as a power play of struggle between the three prominent mafia families begins to intensify. While The Marriage Contract had a romance aspect, this book was so much more. It had layers of suspense, character development, and family history that were intricately exposed and revealed.
Overall, I did enjoy the first installment and look forward to the next two book of this series. I love that Katee Robert was still able to intertwine romance, suspense, danger and power struggle all into this book.
An elegant, consuming, and riveting forbidden love affair that transcends beauty, passion, love, and music. Alyssa Palombo has gracefully delivered a spectacular debut book that mixes history, romance, a crescendo of music and an added touch of forbidden love. The Violinist of Venice: A Story of Vivaldi was a book that instantly gripped me as it explores a love affair of a young woman and a priest.
As a fan of Vivaldi's compositions, I was intrigued with the premise of The Violinist of Venice. I was not aware that Antonio Vivaldi was a member of the clergy so I was very curious of this fictional love affair that Alyssa Palombo was able to create. And what a beautiful picturesque raw love story it was. Ms. Palombo exquisitely weaved heartache, angst, grief, loss, passion, and desire in one bewitching tale. She allowed her readers to FEEL and be emotionally consumed with their love, devastation and music. The music. What can I say but it was heart and soul of the story. The music easily lured readers like myself to the sights, sounds, taste of Italy. Reading this book is an experience that you will truly want to savor and enjoy. Get lost and swept away with Alyssa Palombo's gorgeous prose and an unforgettable love of Vivaldi and Adriana d'Amato.
“The three of them were a unit, whether they’d made it official or not.”
Naughty Wishes: Body by Joey W. Hill could only be described as sinfully naughty, wicked, dirty, hot and oh so erotically addicting!!!!! After reading this steamy and sexy read, I think I need to make a confession. This is my first Joey W. Hill book. Gasp!! I know, I know, I'm already slapping my forehead as to why it took me so long to finally read one of her books. Well don't fret because after getting a taste of how erotic and seductive a Joey W. Hill book is, I am hooked.
“Do it,” he muttered. “Rub yourself against me now. Ask me to come when you’re ready for it. Beg me.”
Naughty Wishes: Body chronicles three roommates: Chris, Samantha, and Geoff. They are practically each other's best friend. As far as friendship goes, there is this burning sexual attraction to each other. Samantha has always pondered the question of what if.. What if, she acted on her sexual fantasies of having both Chris and Geoff. And the only way to answer that question of what if is to act on it. So when Chris is away for a business trip, Samantha decides to take matters into her own hands and try to seduce Geoff first since he seems to be the dominant of the household. As Samantha tries to entice Geoff, she realizes that Geoff is into her. He is well aware of what she is trying to do and soon Geoff and Samantha find themselves entangled in such raw, primal, dominant, and sexual hunger. Geoff exerts his dominance with Samantha by knowing what she needs, craves, and wants. He pleases her sexually, emotionally, and physically.
“That’s correct, Samantha Beth. You’re mine. Ours.” A tight smile touched his lips. “You’re right about us worrying we’d step on each other getting to you, but I realized tonight I’ve always thought of you as ours. Mine and Chris’s, never just mine. But no one else’s.”
As Geoff tries to regain control of what is happening to them, he realizes maybe he should of waited for Chris to return home before giving into Sam and temptation. But as man who is sexually attracted to her, he could not help but want to claim her. As Sam and Geoff continue their whirlwind of pleasure and erotic sexual escapades, what happens when Chris walks in on them? Can Chris handle seeing his two best friends having sex? Will he be able to join them? Or be hurt that they didn't wait for him? Or did Chris want Sam all to himself?
“He’d fucked her cunt, her mouth . . . Though she knew she was having crazy, sentimental, sex-driven thoughts, she wanted him to do it to her ass, too. Leave no area unclaimed.”
Proceed with caution when reading Naughty Wishes: Body. This book is explosively naughty, dirty, sexy and erotic. Fantasies are explored. Temptation are given into. Dominance is exerted. And pleasure is awaken. While this book may not be your conventional romance of hearts and flowers, this book still maintains a LOVE element. Love between friends. A love of sex. “Best love story I have ever heard. Not one of them is perfect, not one of them is easy, but the good ones are always worth it.”- Room 212
The Fall. I have fallen in love once again with Kate Stewart and her words. And in her newest release The Fall, Ms. Stewart will sets hearts racing as readers are immersed in one unforgettable emotional charged palpable love story of two friends. The Fall is unlike any book that I have read so far because this story highlights two friends who at a certain point in their lives fell in love but it wasn't the right time and place. And what happens years later, when these two friends find themselves ready to fall in love and give each other's hearts?
Dean Martin has always been in love with his friend, Dallas. But the only problem was that she was 15 years old and he was 18 years old. He could never tell her and so he tried to hide his feelings for her through his friendship with Dallas. He may be falling in love with Dallas, but he was scared to say anything to blur their friendship. As they enter college, their friendship still remained intact as they both pursue dreams of becoming a doctor. Both of them remained silent on their unyielding love for one another that is until they could no longer deny their feelings.
Their love was beautiful. Breathtaking. All-consuming. It was a love that made you believe in happily ever afters. But as they got closer to fulfilling their dreams and ambitions, they had to make a choice. Choices that would set precedence as to what is important to them. Separation was inevitable. Hearts were broken. Promises were shattered. An ending to a love story that remained unanswered...
Seven years has passed and Dallas thought she was happy. She was a doctor and was ready to set up practice with her younger sister. She had a successful boyfriend who loved her. She was on track with her career. But was she happy and in love? Was she in a relationship for the sake up being in a relationship? So when Dean Martin reappears back in her life, these buried feelings that she had for the man who was her best friend and soul mate begins to reignite. As they tried to piece back their friendship, feelings that could no longer be hidden begin to resurface and it was inevitable till they finally had to make a choice for their hearts. Are they willing to take that chance to really fall.....fall in love the second time around?
Falling in love is like a storm. You can't predict the aftermath, but you can always see signs of it before it completely falls. And for Dean Martin and Dallas, meeting each other and falling in love was an inevitable fate. Their past, friendship, and intense connection was a flashing neon sign that was directing them to each other. No matter of the time and distance, there was a reason as to why they couldn't forget one another. Meeting each other was fate. Becoming friends was a choice, but falling in love with each other was beyond their control.
“Some dreams you were born with, some dreams you grow into, and some dreams have to be unveiled.”
Dean Martin. Oh Dean. You have officially stole my heart. I adore your unyielding LOVE for Dallas. I love how your love never wavered. It was true. Honest. Raw. It was a love that left me breathless and speechless. It was the kind of love that consumes you to the bones. Dean was the fictional book boyfriend that will set hearts ablaze for romance aficionados.
“I loved you then. I love you now. I'll love you tomorrow. And if you walk away from me, not one damn woman in the world will ever take your place. No one ever has. I had to learn, Dallas. It took some time. Please, just let go, forgive me, and let me love you.”
The Fall was simply beautiful. The gorgeous prose and heartfelt raw emotions were consuming. This book is no ordinary second chance romance since this book really highlight sometimes it's not that two people aren't right for each other. It's more like the timing wasn't right. And for Dean and Dallas, this sentiment couldn't be more true. But seven years later, their moment came. And this time, they were both at the place and time in their lives to fall. They say that you can fall in love only once, but for Dean Martin this is not true because every time he sees Dallas, he falls in love with her all over again. So if you are ready to read a story where people who are meant to be together find their way back, they may have taken a few detours in life but aren't never lost, then I highly recommend The Fall.
OMG...Did JA Huss write a happy and sweet book with no suspense or plot twist? Yep, she sure did and let me just say that this novella left me smiling and grinning from ear to ear. Happily Ever After: A Day in the Life of the HEA (ROOK+RONIN) was just what I needed this Holiday Season. This sweet novella was jam packed with so much LOVE. It reminded me once again as to why I LOVE Rook, Ronin, Spencer, Veronica, Ford, Ashleigh and their kids. As Julie introduces their kids, I am totally smitten over them especially Kate, Oliver, Starling, Sparrow, Princess and of course, Five. Yes, I personally think that Julie needs to write a book for each kid...
“Every morning when I wake up I think, God, I can’t wait to get back in bed with him tonight. I just can’t wait. It’s the very best part of every single day since we met. Even after fifteen years, I still think that, Ronin.”
Since this is a short novella, I really don't want to say much but what I can tell you is that this book made me miss these fictional characters so much. I know Ford and Spencer have always been fan favorites. But this novella made me realize how much I love and miss Rook and Ronin. These two started my JA Huss obsession so to read that after 15 years later, their love for each other is still so strong and unwavering left me with a big fat smile on my face. So thank you Julie for this Holiday treat!!!!!
Getting Lucky by Mia Storm is the fourth installment to the Jail Bait Series. If you have read the previous book, Getting Hot then you were given a brief introduction to Shiloh Luck, the winner of the Voice music competition show and best friend of Lilah Morgan. And in Getting Lucky, Ms. Storm takes readers on a rockstar adventure as Shiloh begins her musical career as the opening act to one of hottest rock bands, Roadkill.
Although Shiloh Luck may have only been 16 years old and a ward to the state of California, Shiloh knows what it is like to survive and live on your own. Strong, independent, and guarded Shiloh is very cautious of the people that she lets into her inner circle. As the opening act to the US tour of Roadkill, Shiloh was an instant hit. As Shiloh begins to attract and gain the attention of millions of fans with her impressive vocal skills and talent, she also catches the attention of Tro Gunnison, the lead singer of Roadkill.
“I do. I want you to fuck me the way you fuck them. Fuck me hard and then leave.”
Tro Gunnison is the bonafide rockstar with endless groupies. He is the definition of sex and rock-n-roll. Shiloh is well aware of Tro's reputation as bad boy manwhore. As much as she tries to stay away and keep her distance from him, Tro does his best to rile up the sweet and innocent Shiloh by making sexual innuendos whenever he can on tour. But as much as she tries to keep her annoyance at bay, she constantly finds herself letting her guard down when it comes to Tro. Once Tro finally breaks down Shiloh's guarded walls, she slowly begins to let him in allowing him to see the real Shiloh Luck. Soon, these two found themselves forming a deep friendship. But the only problem with their budding friendship is that Tro wants Shiloh and he knows he must resist temptation. But what happens when Shiloh wants Tro to cross that line? Will this rockstar bad boy find himself getting a taste of Lucky or a taste of the law?
“I don’t want to fall in love with Tro. He doesn’t do love. But like a tsunami intent on my destruction, there doesn’t seem to be any stopping it.”
With the first three books of the Jail Bait Series being so hot and forbidden, I found Getting Lucky to be on the slow burn sexual tension kind of romance. While there is still that forbidden element with Shiloh being 16 and Tro being much older, I really didn't feel it to be so much forbidden since I found Shiloh to be very mature and independent for her age. I did find this book lacked the steamy factor that I was so accustomed too after reading the previous three books. With that being said, I did enjoy that the author was able to draw attention to the slow burn romance of Tro and Shiloh. She allowed readers to see that Tro didn't treat Shiloh like the other women and that he deeply cared for her. Mia Storm allowed her readers to see that a person can change with the right motivation and for Tro that was his Lucky.
So why the four stars and not five? While I enjoyed the story overall, the ending was a bit rushed for my taste. I just wanted a bit more especially in the romance department of Shiloh and Tro. But with that being said, Mia Storm certainly had me addicted with this series and I look forward to reading more of her future books to come.
