Sexy, smart, and sophisticated!! That’s right my fellow book lovers, CD Reiss is back at it again as she delivers a novella that hits every writing element that we are so fond of. In Prince Roman, CD introduces readers to a fun, smart and playful office romance that will be sure to heat up your e-readers.
In this male dominated world of Silicon Valley, Raven Crosby is making a name for herself and is practically a unicorn and the last thing she needs is another office romance fling that could derail her employment. But what happens when she meets Roman Bianchi, a sexy handsome newcomer, whose office is right across from her. With office sexual tension so high, it was only a matter of time till Raven caves into her desires. Will Raven’s job put into jeopardy when she mixes business with pleasure?
Prince Roman was a fun, light, and sexy read that will totally keep you smitten with CD’s writing and characters. So if you are looking for a wickedly entertaining romance that was sexy and deliciously satisfying then this book is for you.
A deeply harrowing intense thriller that is interlaced with mystery, suspense, and intrigue. If you are familiar with Katee Robert, then you are all aware that she has this ability to pull in readers to get lost in her story and in the case of The Devil’s Daughter, Katee went beyond the hearts and flowers that we are used to but instead gave her readers a story that will leave chills as she explores the hidden secrets of a cult.
The Devil’s Daughter is not your standard romantic suspense since I would say romance takes a major backseat in this story of uncovering the secrets of this specific cult. Eden Collins left her childhood life behind when she escaped Clear Springs, Montana ten years ago. She started a new life but it seems she couldn’t escape her past or her family. As it turns out, Eden’s mother is a cult leader and when bodies of young women starts emerging, all signs points to her mother’s cult. As an FBI agent, Eden was trained to be strong, independent, and fierce but what happens when she arrives back in Clear Springs and is bombarded of the lifestyle that she tried to run away from. Will Eden be able to help the local sheriff find those missing girls? Or will Eden discover that she can’t truly run away from home?
If you are looking for a story that is a real page turner then I highly suggest you read A Devil’s Daughter as you discover the unfolding of secrets and the reasoning for the killings of the young girls. Roberts did a fabulous job in writing this book as she slowly laid out the pieces of the puzzle in order for readers to guess who the killer is. If you are like me and are looking for a book that was written with such intensity and fervor then I highly suggest you read this book.
It’s no secret that I couldn’t wait to get my greedy book hands on Mack Daddy by Penelope Ward. How could any bookworm resist especially knowing it involves a very hot sexy single dad trying to win back the heart of his son’s teacher? Psst… have you seen the cover? Ummm..yeah definitely hot DILF!!! And to top it off that it was written by Penelope Ward. So yeah, you can understand my excitement and eagerness to read this book stat.
Francesca O’Hara is a first grade teacher at a private Catholic school. On the first day of school, unbeknownst to her, Francesca is reunited with the Mackenzie Morrison, the man who broke her heart. Mack happens to be the father of one of her students. Thrown off guard, old feelings and the past begins to resurface when memories of their friendship begins to flood both Frankie and Mack.
Mack is well aware that Frankie is the girl that he let get away and has always been the woman that he still loves. Determined to win back her heart, Mack pursues Frankie. So can Mack repair the damages that he had done and win back the only woman he wants, needs, and love?
As far as Frankie and Mack were concerned, readers could sense and feel the connection between them. There is a deep history and feelings that could not be diminished. But as much as readers rooted for them, I felt bad for the third party since Frankie had a boyfriend. Keep in mind, I actually liked Frankie’s boyfriend and hence why I couldn’t give this book a solid 5 stars. Throw in some angst and drama, Mack Daddy kept readers like myself entertained.
Mack Daddy is a symphony of second chances, friendship, romance, and angst so there is every element to keep any reader glued to the story of Mack and Frankie. As much as I love Penelope Ward’s book, this was not particularly my favorite since I felt the last 25% of the book was a bit rushed for my taste with the unwarranted drama and revelations but other than that this book will definitely attract fans of single dad trope.

Dear Life by Meghan Quinn is hands down the most raw, intimate, honest, and vulnerable book that she has written so far. This is one of those reads that cannot be fully reviewed since Dear Life is about life’s journey. The good, the bad, and those moments in our life we want a do-over. Four lives. Four strangers are brought together where they bond over the fact that life is not fair. People they love had to die. Sacrifices had to be made. Letting go is not easy. And the hardest part is starting over. Dear Life is a reminder that we exist on this earth for a reason. We can either roll with the punches or let our guilt, pain, sadness, and loss consume us. So if you are looking a story where four different letters addressed to life are written in such a poignant, heartbreaking, touching and visceral manner then this is the book for you.
Thank you for your raw honesty towards the end of the book. Life is truly a journey and things do happen for a reason. I am so happy that life brought you and your wife a bundle of joy this Holiday Season.
Sincerely, Michelle xo
So I think it’s fitting I end this review with a letter of my own to Life.
Dear Life,
The last half of 2016 has been a very rough year for me personally dealing with my dad’s health. For three months of my life, it was consumed with lots of doctor’s visits, surgeries, and hospital stays. When I thought my dad was on the road to recovery, you had to punch me once again and have them tell me he possibly has leukemia. Right now, I am consumed with mixed emotions. I hate you and then I am thankful. Hate you for the obvious reason. Thankful that the doctors caught his CMML early. So as you can tell, I am so ready for 2016 to be over with. Please be kind to me in 2017. I am tired of being worried and stressed out. I am so definitely tired of crying. So life, I am trusting you with 2017.
Come Closer by Brenda Rothert is a heartrendingly beautiful poignant romantic suspense that takes readers on the cusp of an unexplainable tangible connection of two strangers in search of truth, redemption, and justice. In this newest sensation, Rothert sophisticatedly guides her readers into a whole new literary world where she beautifully blends romance with a touch of mystery and suspense. As she tackles this new direction, she brings forth a new light and style that begs readers to indeed Come Closer and fall in love with her words and emotionally flawed characters.
Daniel Delgado is a physician, who happens to work in a mental hospital. Daniel has decided that working in the institution in the outskirts of rural Montana is his repentance and a way to keep his demons at bay. There in Montana, work and his patients have always been his number one priority. His life has this routine that is until he meets a new patient that stirs something in Daniel.
Allison Cole is a survivor after witnessing the brutal murder of her twin sister. Shocked, scared and traumatized, Allison is admitted into a mental hospital in order to help her cope with her emotions. Her silence is a curse and blessing. But what happens when her silence forces her to come closer to the truth that she can’t escape that harrowing night? Will Allison find herself staying in the hospital permanently or will Dr. Delgado be the key to unlocking her silence?
The chemistry and connection between Daniel and Allison is indescribable. It is a magnetic pull between doctor and patient. Lines are crossed but when it comes to the matters of the heart, isn’t love worth the risk? Will Daniel find himself risking his job? His heart? His life for a patient that crashed into his life in just a few weeks?
Come Closer is a detailed slow burn romance that ignites all the feels as Rothert delicately tackles these sensitive subject matters of mental health, vulnerability, and raw emotions in a manner that was done in a heartfelt way. There was no judgement and label. Rothert allowed readers to see these people as human beings who deserves every respect, attention, compassion and care. And in the case of her hero, Daniel Delgado, he didn’t see a broken and damaged woman. He saw a woman worth rescuing and saving. So if you are looking for a romance that was a symphony of truth, magnetic chemistry, and suspense then I urge you to read Come Closer. Get lost in Rothert’s prose as she makes you fall in love with a forbidden romance that was sprinkled depth, mystery, steam, and beauty.
Deliciously and wickedly entertaining!!! If you are a huge Meghan March fan like myself then you are all aware that her signature of strong sexy alpha male heroes have been a staple of her books and in her latest release, Real Good Man, Meghan has hands down deliver one hot, sexy, real good man in Logan Brantley.
Who knew text messaging a stranger can lead to friendship turned romance? Well for Banner Regent , she never thought her text buddy could be the game changer in allowing her to see that a real good man does exist. Banner is no stranger to random and casual hookups but in the end she hasn’t found anything to excite her that is until Logan.
Logan Brantley never thought he could so easily fall for Banner in just a few text messages but he did. He was intrigued by her saucy personality and of course her dirty mouth. Everything about her excites him. As one of the most hottest eligible bachelors, Logan can get any woman that he wants but he has an eye for a certain New Yorker. So can this rugged Kentucky small town alpha hero win the heart of the city girl?
Real Good Man was the book that I needed to kick off 2017. This book was sexy, steamy, entertaining, and highly addicting. Meghan March flawlessly delivered a story that had readers like myself devouring each page and wanting more of Banner and Logan. So if you are looking for a love story that is easily sucks you in and has you begging for more of March’s vibrant and steamy prose then look no further than this book.

“Jules, I want you more than anything. All of you. Everything about you. More than any other woman I’ve ever wanted. It’s a force . . . deep inside me.”
Juliette Smith is a rising collegiate tennis star who had the makings to be a great tennis player but when she meets her coach, sparks begins to fly. Instant attraction ensues and soon Juliette finds herself in a secret affair with Drew King. Just as things heats up off court, Drew fears that Juliette’s reputation and academic status could be put in jeopardy and so he decides to end their relationship. But what happens when Juliette runs into Drew several years later? Will Drew realize that walking away from her was one regret that he has to make up for?
“What the fuck? What the hell happened to me? The big dick-swinging bachelor, the hard-ass coach who fell into lust with his collegiate player? He fell in love and never forgot it.”
If you were to ask me what made Break Point stand out, the answer would be simple. Drew King. Yes, Drew made Break Point. He was sweet, sexy, understanding, patient, and most of all honest. He wore his heart on his sleeve. There was nothing hidden as he bared his feelings for Juliette. Yes, walking away from her may have been the worst decision he made but in his defense, he wanted the best for her. And as for Juliette, she is one of those characters that either you will love or hate. As much as I might disagreed with her reasoning, I appreciated that Rachel Blaufeld allowed readers to see that these are flawed individuals who have guarded their heart for a reason. And so if you are looking for a story that weaves a bit of angst, love, second chances, and new beginnings then I suggest you read Break Point. Though this book may have been light on drama, Rachel Blaufeld serves a love story that will sure to leave a smile on your face.
CD Reiss is such a versatile author who continues to deliver stories that leaves readers very satisfied and craving for more of her sinful prose. And in her latest new release,Bombshell Reiss does it again as she slays romance fans with her sexy, intriguing, palpable and oh so swoonworthy love story between a single Hollywood dad actor and his daughter’s nanny.
I want to fuck you right here, teacup.” “The engraved invitation’s in the mail.” I raised my leg over his waist and he tucked his hand behind my knee. “It says, ‘Your dick is cordially invited to come inside.”
Since this book was one of those reads that I practically inhaled, I feel it’s my duty to not spoil this book for readers. Trust me when I tell you that CD Reiss puts her own fun twist on the single dad/nanny romance that will for sure leave you smiling and swooning like crazy. So if you are looking for a story that packs heat, romance, passion, humor, and a whole lots of LOVE then this book is definitely for you. Just prepare yourself to fall in love with these characters as they surely found a home in my book world.
Egomaniac is a sexy blend of sophistication, banter, friendship, love, and steam. Vi Keeland has once again slayed the book world as she brings forth one romance that will have readers begging for Drew Jagger and his dirty-talking mouth. Yes, panties will be dripping wet and hearts will be fluttering with butterflies.
It’s no secret that I am a huge Vi Keeland fan but there was just something about Egomaniac that made this book stand out from the rest. With her sinful and steamy prose, Vi captured our hearts with her charismatic and relatable characters. She showcased a love story that was a symphony of heat, passion, and raw vulnerability.
Drew Jagger is a successful family law attorney. Yeah, he is one of those big shot NYC divorce attorneys that means business. And so when he comes back from his Hawaiian vacation, he is surprised to discover a gorgeous redheaded woman in his office floor. As it turns out, this stranger happened to get conned into renting an office that wasn't supposed to be rented out. And so feeling bad for Emerie Rose, he decides to help her out sort of the mess and file a police report.
And I suppose all of your women are fast asleep after you take care of them.”“Damn straight. I’m like a superhero. The Prolactinator.”
Emerie Rose came out to New York City to start her career and also to earn the affection of a colleague. And so with very little money, Emerie finds herself discovering that the Big Apple took a big bite into her life savings. Not only was she a victim of a rental scam but nothing seems to be going right for her, that is until she meets Drew Jagger.
How do I apply for the job?”“The job?” She actually seemed confused. I thought I was pretty damn clear. “Of sexual partner. I think we should have sex.”
After striking some kind of friendship, Drew temporarily lets Emerie use one of his office spaces for her personal office. And soon, these two finds themselves fighting an attraction to one another. Drew is well aware that Emerie is hung up on a man. It takes Emerie awhile to see that her crush and infatuation with this man is nothing compared to her friendship and attraction to Drew.
When Drew makes it known to Emerie that he wants her, fireworks are going off. Yes, I am talking about hot, dirty, steamy sex takes place. And for the first time in a long time, Drew begins to open his heart to Emerie. But what happens when Drew’s ex-wife comes back into the picture and stirs up drama? Will everything that Drew has loved be taken away? And will Emerie be able to finally show Drew that he is indeed worth the risk and the fight even though he is an egomaniac?
I am in utter bliss right now. Yes, I practically inhaled this book in one sitting. This book owned me. Drew Jagger was the epitome of ultimate book boyfriend when it came to his affection for Emerie Rose. Did I also mention that this egomaniac has a heart of gold? So if you are looking for a love story that blends heart, romance, and steam then this book is definitely for you.
There is no faking or pretending about it, Ilsa Madden-Mills has the magical touch when it comes to writing love stories with heat, passion and most importantly heart. With her vivid and sexy prose, Ilsa allows her readers to easily fall for her charismatic and lovable characters. And in the Fake Fiancée, this statement couldn’t be more true as readers like myself are sucked into a vortex where we are consumed with an addictive, sweet, and palpable love story as two worlds collide on and off the field.
“It wasn’t about the pretending. I could be a fake girlfriend. It was my body that was the problem. I wanted Max Kent.”
Max Kent is the star and face of Leland University. As one of the top contenders to win the Heisman Trophy, Max's presence is known on and off the field. There are no shortage of football groupies who are willing to be a notch on his goal post. So when a feisty neighbor moves in next door, Max is automatically intrigued with Sunny and her sassy and vibrant personality.
As it turns out Sunny and Max shares a class together so naturally Max offers her a ride to class. When they appeared in class walking together, automatically everyone begins to stare and wonder who Max Kent is walking with. When Max suggest that Sunny be his pretend girlfriend to keep his ex and groupies at bay, Sunny doesn’t think too much of it since Max and her have this natural friendship and connection.
“Time and time again, I was taken aback by his off-the-charts hotness. But it wasn’t his looks that tugged at my heart. Not really. It was him—his innate charm that made me want to strangle him one second and then hug him the next.”
Well as it turns out, it doesn’t take long for Sunny and Max to realize that their friendship begins to get blurred. Fake kisses and touches begins to feel real. Innocent and playful text messages are no longer in the friends category. So when Sunny and Max finally acts on their attraction, what happens when fake becomes real?
“Our kiss was pure , unadulterated magic, making me powerless in his arms. He was gut-twistingly perfect, and I wanted to drown in him . I didn’t need air. All I needed was Max Kent and his lips and tongue.”
I absolutely adore this gem of a book. Ilsa Madden-Mills will definitely have readers swooning for Max Kent in the Fake Fiancée. Mills did an amazing job showcasing that Max Kent may be the star on the football field but he also is the golden boy with a heart of gold. Behind his rugged and sexy physique, there is no faking about it that Ilsa has definitely written book boyfriend and book husband material. So if you are looking for a book that beautifully weaves humor, sass, raw emotions, and hot chemistry then you better one-click this book now. All I can say, this book was a major touchdown in terms of the New Adult genre.
Melanie Harlow you have truly outdone yourself once again. This right here is why I LOVE reading your books. If You Were Mine has officially earned a place on my 2017 list of favorite top reads. I honestly don’t know where to begin my review because I can’t stop smiling because Theo and Claire’s story was just another reminder that modern day fairy tales do exist. There doesn’t have to be Prince Charming or a shiny white castle but two ordinary people who have the way of making you feel special and happy. And boy oh boy did Theo give me the butterflies and so much more.
I can go on and on about who Theo is and why Claire is a gem but I won’t. The beauty of their story is getting lost with these two as they explore and discover something about themselves.Their wants and desire. And most importantly, their own version of a fairy tale happily ever after ending. After reading If You Were Mine, Melanie Harlow should be on everyone’s book radar because not only are her stories believable but her writing and characters evokes something that captures the beauty of love and heart. So if you are looking for a romance that spoke volumes of passion, trust, compassion, understanding, and unconditional love then I highly recommend you to get lost in this book.
A bold, wickedly sinful exploration of our deepest and darkest sexual fantasies and desires. J.A. Huss continues to do what she does best. She pushes your button, your comfort level, and leaves a lasting impression. For some, it may leave a bitter aftertaste but for readers like myself, it leaves me wanting more. More of her scintillating and tantalizing prose. More of her raw and demanding characters. And more of her unexpected storyline.
She likes the forbidden world we live in. And she wants to be a part of it, whether she realizes it or not.”
Do you like the dark? If so, get ready to fall in love and be engrossed in a story that is beyond our wicked imagination where forbidden meets pleasure. Dominance meets submissiveness. Lust meets desire. And where sex is the key to unlocking the doors of three different men. So are you ready to discover why Taking Turns might not be so bad after all?
Number One is mostly silent. He watches me with them very carefully. His gaze never wanders. His interest never wanes.Number Two is mostly gentle. But it’s the other side of him I like best. The wild side.Number Three is mostly reserved. He refuses to cross the line. Even when I beg. Three friends who happens to share one woman. Yes, if you are not fan of menage then this book is definitely not for you. But if you are brave enough to step out of your comfort zone and explore an erotic fantasy come to life then let me tell you why Taking Turns is absolutely brilliant and visceral.
As the daughter of a US Senator, Marcella Walcott should be the definition of prim and proper but when Chella decides to exchange places with Rochelle, the current play toy of Smith Baldwin, Quin Foster, and Elias Bricman, Chella discovers that being part of a dirty sexual agreement with these three men might not be so bad after all especially each has their own sexual rules and proclivities. Chella loves sex. This taking turns was supposed to be an exploration of her need for the dark and to satisfy her carnal erotic desires.
But what happens when being in the dark gets sprinkled in with light? Will Chella discover why this dirty sexual game of Taking Turns can get complicated especially when feelings, friendship, and possibly love begins to emerge? And what happens truth of Rochelle’s disappearance is revealed? Will either men want to take turns with Chella after her secret has been exposed?
Because if I fuck you first without the other guys involved, then you’d be mine and not ours. And I’m more interested in ours than mine.”
Taking Turns is the reason why I love reading JA’s books. First and foremost, it’s because JA Huss does not give a shit what people think of her books. She writes stories that are unique and in turn readers like myself flock to her characters and stories because she continues to have readers begging for more. She may not realize it but she begs readers to embrace the dark, the light, and whatever shades of colors that may be shining through. This book is utterly brilliant in a sense because she gave these four characters a voice that was different and allowed each of their personality to be spotlighted. No character was in the shadows. Each and every character were stripped and had their raw vulnerability, darkest desires, and thoughts exposed. So if you are looking for a story that was magnetic, sinful, bold, and erotic then I urge you to read Taking Turns.

“Once upon a time I lived in a castle. I would have defended it with my life. That wasn’t what Gabriel Miller wanted from me. He wanted my innocence. I gave it to him, but it wasn’t enough.”
Are you ready to play and get toyed with Skye Warren’s follow up of the Endgame Series? If so, get ready to have your pieces lined up and know what moves to make beforehand because Skye will outsmart you as she leaves you begging for more especially when she reveals the major players to watch out for in this game and sometimes it is the least unsuspecting piece.
First, we were a pawn in her deliciously wicked and sinful story of a heroine auctioning off her virginity. And now, a new player joins into the mix. The unlikely KNIGHT or in this case, the black knight also known as Gabriel Miller. After purchasing Avery St. James’ virginity and claiming her, he sends her away leaving Avery as the unguarded queen as everything she holds dear is ripped from under her. So what does a defenseless queen do? She learns to make her move in this game called life.
“And even then, there’s no peace. No rest from his mouth. No surcease from the hoarse demand he murmurs against my clit: “Again. Fucking again, little virgin. Until you’re dripping down my chin.”
Once a socialite princess, Avery is now trying to save her castle. Her family home. It is the last thing she has of her mother. As Avery rushes to save her home from being auctioned off, she begins to see new players enter into the picture. Her father who was once her king soon begins to show his cracks. And as for her knight, Gabriel Miller, it seems she can never get rid of him as he knew what buttons to push and how to toy with her emotions sexually and physically. And as for the other players, it seems they are ready to take down the knight and his pawn. So will Avery learn that she may need a Knight to bring down the Castle?
“There’s only been one constant. Gabriel Miller. That he’s wanted me. He’s taken me. You’ve always been mine.”
The Knight is a very sexy wicked romance that blends vulnerability,self-discovery, sexual tension, chemistry, eroticism, mystery and darkness. With her tantalizing and hypnotic prose, Skye Warren held me hostage as I awaited what will become of Avery, the pawn and her knight, Gabriel Miller. Every scene and action left me salivating for more and I couldn’t get enough of these two as family secrets are exposed. So are you ready to get spellbound and discover why the pawn might be the most dangerous piece?
Love In Lingerie is a deeply sensual erotic office romance that is weaved of the finest silk, class and sophistication. Alessandra Torre is the epitome of what every indie romance author hopes to be. With her smooth and heartfelt writing, she has readers like myself craving, wanting and needing more.
I can go on and write a review of what to expect but I won’t do that because this is one of those reads that has to be read. Readers need to feel the tension, the angst, the chemistry, and of course the slow burn love of Trey and Kate. This book beautifully blends heat, passion, friendship, and romance in a very tasteful and sexy manner. Like lingerie, this book entices readers to see the characters stripped in their raw and vulnerable form. Lingerie is supposed to be admired and boy oh boy did I find myself admiring and loving Alessandra’s ability to paint a literary canvas that was silky, smooth, and made of the finest lace. All there is left to say, Love In Lingerie is one deliciously sexy, tantalizing, and sweet love story. A must read and one of my reads of 2017!

So you can imagine my excitement when I found out that the fab duo of Carly Phillips & Erika Wilde are back at it again in delivering romance that will make your panties wet and of course have those hearts beating wildly for Wes Sinclair, your newest 2017 book boyfriend.
Hey, I know we’re best friends and all, but I want to fuck your sister, and watching her strut around the office in her tight-ass skirts and fuck-me heels will have me sporting a permanent hard-on and spending the day fantasizing about bending her over my desk for a slow, hard, afternoon screw.”
If you read Dirty Sexy Sinner, you probably will remember meeting Wes Sinclair and Natalie Prescott and of course naturally, Carly & Erika had to entice their readers for their much anticipated new book, Big Shot. And then the crème de la crème is that Phillips & Wilde delivered one sinfully intoxicating best friend little sister romance.
Big Shot was just a fun, flirty, playful, and sexy read. I love that this book didn’t have any unwanted drama and angst but just focused on two frenemies who are deeply and sexually attracted to one another and it took a friendly wager for them to finally admit their attraction and feelings for one another.
I need to know it’s okay, because I’m not going to stop at just one taste this time, and I can pretty much guarantee that once my lips touch yours, there will be no going back. My mouth is going to be all over this gorgeous, sexy body of yours . . . licking at your neck, sucking your tight, pert nipples, biting along your stomach, and if you’re real good, I might even introduce your pussy to my tongue.”
Wes Sinclair is Chicago’s premier real estate agent/broker. With his three pals, he owns of the most successful real estate business and of course, he loves being on top but it seems Wes has some major competition when his best friend’s little sister, Natalie Prescott enters into the picture. Natalie loves to rile up Wes and take his ego down several notches when she was able to land a deal before Wes could.
Natalie has always had feelings for Wes but it seems Wes never wanted to cross that best friend little sister line. And so when she overhears, Wes dismissing the idea that she works for his company, Natalie decides to turn up the real estate competition. So when Wes suggest a wager, she easily agrees but never expected to lose. And so for two weeks, Natalie has to take orders from Wes but what neither of them expected was that two weeks would lead to lots of sex. Yes, lots of hot dirty steamy sex.
Another hard, deep thrust and he was right behind her, the pleasure so intense, so intimate and pure it forced him to acknowledge the truth. That no one had ever made him feel like this . . . this completeness, this connection, this reality. No one . . . until Natalie.”
While both agreed to two weeks of no strings attached sex, it was only a matter of time till both of them realize that this feeling that they are experiencing is the real thing. That's right, love. Natalie is a firm believer in love, marriage and kids but Wes has major doubts on the happily ever after ever since he witnessed the nasty divorce of his parents. Royally Owned. Yup, that is the only word that I can come up to describe the magnitude of how Emma Chase stole my heart with this series and in Royally Endowed. This book was everything and so much more. It had spark, humor, friendship, love, passion and witty dialogue to keep every reader entertained. “I like her attitude, her personality , how easy she is to talk to, her sparkling blue eyes and her pretty smile. I like how feisty she can be, how honest she’s been, how worried she is that I might think less of her because of a couple stupid decisions she’s made. ”
Safe Bet is the fourth installment of The Rules Series that was a mashup of characters from the One Week Girlfriend Series and can be read as a standalone but if you are a Drew and Fable fan then you better get excited because they play a prominent role in this book.
Sydney Walker is nineteen years old and is in desperate need of a job. So when she gets the offer to be a nanny to San Francisco’s 49ers quarterback, Drew Callahan, Sydney immediately takes the job. She will be the family’s live in nanny and also Fable’s assistant. Sydney just wants to take control of her life and get on the right path but when a photo was taken of Drew and Sydney, rumors begins to grow rampant that they are having an affair. Soon Sydney finds herself being referred to as the Naughty Nanny.
Wade Knox is a family friend of Fable Callahan and the newest member of the San Francisco 49ers and so when Fable asked Wade to pretend to be the girlfriend of Sydney in order to get the press off Drew and Sydney, he soon finds himself realizing that this fake relationship might turn out real. So will this rising football star discover that there is no pretending when it comes to his attraction to Sydney?

“Sex has never felt so right before. Or so perfect. This man is somehow becoming everything to me. And while that’s a pretty serious thought, for once, I’m not afraid.”
If you are a fan of sweet and light romance, Safe Bet is definitely a safe read for you. Monica Murphy did a great job incorporating a playful aspect with a hint of sexual appeal to entice sports romance fans like myself. Though the book was light on angst, it was big with lots of love and football. So if you are looking for a fun, fresh, and adorably sweet read then I suggest you better meet Wade Knox and place your bets on how long will it take for you to fall in love with him… here’s a hint, it doesn’t take long.
