The story devided into two different plot lines (the chapters were marked by green or red) after the wedding that was spurred on by an incident at the Netherfield ball. The red was ladled with excruciating angst and the green had a milder level of angst. Both of our dear couple were innocent in the compromise which was staged by a third party but neither reacted with compliance nor grace.
This was a strong (headstrong) Elizabeth against a less likeable (horrible) Darcy who had to fight against adversity through sickness or a long separation. Loved the animosity between them that led to their characters development! For a long time, an HEA seemed impossible but fear not, it was brought on with cleverness and plausibility.
I absolutely loved every minute of reading this story that sent my heart racing and made my hands tremble in delightful anticipation of what would happen next. Heartily recommend it!

The story deviated from canon from the beginning. There was no insult at the assembly but love at first sight. A short courtship later our dear couple was married and happy at Pemberley. A trip to London would destroy the relationship through the lies and cunning of a villainous lady. One must keep in mind that Mr Darcy had not had his setdown from the disastrous proposal at Hunsford and doubted Elizabeth's love for him when a devious mind conspired against them. It ended in a disaster surpassing Hunsford by a tenfold. A long separation ensued although it was not a lengthy separation in page-time... Together again but at odds, the Darcys relationship was beautifully developed into reconciliation. The reader was afforded plenty of happiness at the end to reset their equilibrium after the previous angst fest.

I liked the twist to Anne D B and Georgiana was adorable.
It was a good story and a thrilling plot, with intimate interludes in between laugh out loud moments.

I have a penchant for a badass Darcy and this story certainly delivered in that aspect. I thought he was fabulously portrayed but so was Elizabeth. Strong and independent with a discerning mind.
I would rate it high angst but the plot took a twist that I struggle to stomach... (It was not drawn out nor was it rubbing too much salt in the wound though).
Georgiana visited her brother at Netherfield. Unfortunately, rumours about her ruin were spread through the Meryton society and Elizabeth was the only person who knew. Darcy naturally drew the conclusion that Elizabeth had been telling the tale, creating adversity between ODC.
Circumstances, I have no inclination to reveal, landed Elizabeth in the hands of a sinister group of men that profited on selling women at auctions...
