The answer is a lovely, sweet and romantic story would have unfolded. The kind of story that leaves you with a warm and fuzzy feeling, perfectly in tune with the Christmas spirit.
On the morning after the Netherfield ball, juicy gossip ran rampant in the Bingley household. Instead of leaving for London, Mr Bingley rushed head over heals to Longbourn to see for himself if there was any truth to the rumours. Both bachelours decide to remain in Hertfordshire and love was definitely in the air this Christmas.

A delightful story that left me with a warm and fuzzy feeling.
An adorable (and somewhat mischievous) puppy changed the course of our dear couples interactions in between the assembly and the Netherfield ball. I particularly liked that the author had picked up some of the undertow from canon in his portrayal of Darcy and Elizabeth. There are some fine-tuning in the storytelling ability that would be honed with more writing experience but over all, a very good story when one is in the mood for a sweet and angst-free read.

This third and final instalment of the Headstrong trilogy was nail-bitingly thrilling.
Elizabeth was on a mission when the second book ended and it soon becomes apparent that there was more than one perpetrator behind the incidents. I tried to guess who it was but I was utterly surprised when the revelation came...
Beautifully written, engaging and unique modern trilogy with fabulous characters (but I must admit that Jane and Richard were my favourites, loved the portrayal of their characters.) It was sprinkled with witty banter and hilarious pranks.
I love mash-ups and this was cleverly done when Pride & Prejudice met Emma and Persuasion.

This is Colonel Fitzwilliam's love story and the bride was a pleasant surprise. A snowstorm forced the Colonel and the Darcys to take shelter at Hartfield but they were not the only ones...

I absolutely loved it!
A well-used plot where ODC were captured alone in a storm but it the execution was deliciously emotional and masterfully crafted. I did not even mind the reuse of Austen's words, it flowed effortlessly in this new context.

I thought it was a cute, funny and compelling read.
Liza Bennett was a law-student with her last exams, right around the corner.
Her mother threw a charity garden party and had invited the up and coming tennis player Charles Bingley who entered the fray with his friend and his sister. (I will not give too much away but the insult was fabulous.)
The framework of canon was recognisable but the events were much changed to fit the modern era, I thought it was well adapted. Collins was hysterical with his birds...

The second book in the Headstrong trilogy kept me glued to my screen. A slow burner with intricate, three-dimensional characters with layers being peeled off, one by one. Deep and thoughtful with surprising twists and turns and yet it has plenty of funny moments as well. Rachel's brilliant wit shines through and had me laughing out loud many times while grinning the rest.
A delightful, sweet and romantic story, interspersed with laugh out loud moments.

Enters with the letter exchange at Rosings where Darcy was injured as they were about to part ways. He was brought to the parsonage where he had to stay because of his injuries and Elizabeth became a vital part of his recovery together with an absolutely adorable Colonel.
The story was told with warmth and an Austenesque tone that I loved. Plenty of romantic interludes helped Darcy wheedled his way into Elizabeth's heart and to win her love. Persistent indeed...

I particularly enjoyed Mr Bennet and his brilliant banter in this story.

US marine Elizabeth Bennet certainly has a ring to it. I have a penchant for a strong Elizabeth and this book delivers on that account although she was not portrayed as flawless.
Enters with a dramatic event while Elizabeth was in active duty. She and major Fitzwilliam had a run-in with a few bad guys and I absolutely love their sister/brother relationship. Their banter continues after she leaves the marine corps and he is doing her "favour" professionally that sends her to Will Darcy's office. That did not go down particularly well and the insult was fabulous... Darcy had his work cut out for him to turn the first impression of the feisty, green-eyed marine in his favour. Loved how their relationship developed.
The innovative and intriguing background story of the Bennet's, created a plausible contemporary setting for the rest of this story.
This is the first instalment in a trilogy, I cannot wait to read the next two.
