Oh geez, I am completely smitten with Mason and Ryan as a couple. They are just so sweet together, and I loved the progression of their relationship. No crazy drama, but also not fluffy. It’s full of delicious steam, great banter and lots of exploration. They were also tender and caring. Supporting each other in only the way two people meant for each other can.
They were really good at communicating, not so good at hiding their feelings and activities!
Mason is a sweet golden retriever of a man - strong, thoughtful, and he makes me mushy. Which is a perfect pairing for Ryan - Legs. The fabulous, self-assured, and talented drag queen. He gets a little mushy for Mason too!
There are lots of old friends - I love the mix of the Rugby team and The Court drag queens. As well as their forays into DnD. It was super fun.
Don’t forget the in-depth descriptions of sexy, sweaty rugby players in all their muscled goodness. ...more

Such a treat, this story.
Action, mystery and love. So good. Best friends Matty and Dylan are drawn into a dark web of mystery and evil when Matty is brutally attacked.
It becomes a frustrating race to figure out who was behind it and why. In the meantime, we also get to witness these two together. Physical hunter and cyber hunter with such a great bond. They make a fantastic couple, supportive and ready to fight for each other. While they are an already established couple, I loved seeing their relationship in action as they were put to the test of all that’s going on around them.
We also get to see plenty of the others, especially Marc who is his usual rude and oddly compassionate self. Gah, love him! Also, I totally want my superpower to be teleportation!! ...more

Ashley James is a talented writer and can make you feel all the emotions right from the first page. And this forbidden dad’s best friend age-gap romance does just that. The kind of story that keeps you guessing about how they’ll possibly find their way to each other.
It took me a moment to warm up to Colt, he’s a bit immature and brash, and I don’t love it when someone enjoys making someone else uncomfortable. Even if it’s because of some intense chemistry. But of course, you love him anyway, and you especially love him with William. They really are a wonderful couple.
I’m not sure I’m emotionally ready for the next book, I just know it’s going to make me cry, but I’m here for it....more

"Whether I like it or not, I feel a pull toward him, one that is confusing, but maybe we don't have to decipher it. Maybe we can just be."
Straight and having feelings for his brother-in-law - talk about awkward!
This is a slow burn as Boone processes his divorce and subsequent changing feelings for a man, let alone his ex-wife’s brother.
I adored Boone, and have been so excited about his story, he’s a fantastic man and a lovely father. I feel protective of him. As such I want to have some words with Shooter. LOL
It’s definitely a forbidden romance, even if not entirely, which definitely makes for some angst and a lot of push and pull.
As lovely as they are together, I have to say, Jade is a better woman than me because I wouldn’t be so forgiving!! ...more
I need more Bronco-riding cowboys in my life! Especially a Cope. That boy is the kindest and most neighbourly cowBlog | Instagram | Twitter | Facebook
I need more Bronco-riding cowboys in my life! Especially a Cope. That boy is the kindest and most neighbourly cowboy around. I love his easygoing nature and thoughtfulness. He was definitely the polar opposite of Xander’s business suit ex, and I couldn’t love that more for Xander.
Their meet-cute might have been messy, but the development of their relationship certainly wasn’t.
"I need you to know that I plan to make you mine in due time, city boy."
They form a sweet friendship that is fun to watch progress. And it’s especially lovely to watch Cope learn some things about his sexuality and discover that ‘spark’.
This is just pure sweet, sexy, and lovely. And I’m here for their happy ending. I’m also a little in love with Aggie the highland cow, and to call on Xander’s aunt next time I need to name an animal!
It was also great to see more of the rest of the cowboys, they are a hilarious group of friends. ...more

I spent half this book torn between who I wanted to win their rides. On one hand, we have the cocky three-time world champion, Shooter, with the weight of legacy on his back. Or sweet and kind, up and coming, Sterling.
You want to hate Shooter for his hot and cold, tantrums, and general cranky behaviour, but when you know what’s at the heart of it all, you just want to wrap him in a hug.
He also seems to enjoy torturing Sterling sexually, which you might not like him for, if it wasn’t for the fact that Sterling seems to enjoy it. Immensely.
There’s a lot of emotion in this. Tension, lust, heartbreak. And love. In the end. So much love.
I loved everything about this, and I can’t wait to delve further into this country town of Copper Lake with its bronco riders, ranch owners & intriguing vet, to name a few.

I…wow. Well, that was emotionally exhausting! (in the best possible way). And such an incredibly crafted story that had me so wrapped up that I didn’t realize how much time had passed and that I should really go to sleep (spoiler alert - I didn’t until the story was over!).
I’m not even sure where to begin, but to say, if you like gritty, raw & flawed men who definitely don’t get an easy path to love…then you will fall hard for this story.
I think this quote really sums up the whole story.
“Josiah and I are two black sheep, drowning in our grief, plagued by trauma, both desperate for reprieve. And in this moment, we can be that for each other.”
Expect they are so much more than a reprieve. These two men who deserved so much more in life, from family and from friends, finally got everything I could want for them. Love, happiness, safety.
Whiskey Nights and Neon Dreams has definitely burrowed deep, and I’ll be thinking about this one for a long time to come....more

Marley’s bio should read - “I’ll gift you a couple of books a year, and they will wreck you. And you will thank me for being the writing sorcer that I am.” Because you will, at the end of the tears and heartbreak, when she pieces your heart back together again, you will thank her.
As I started reading, Unwanted (Book One) came flooding back to me and I immediately wanted to wrap them all up in a hug because we knew they were in for a bumpy ride.
Lennox has felt abandoned too many times in his life, and now his entire life is about to change. But in a silver lining, it brings his brother home, and more importantly, brings Sam and Rhys and him together.
Despite Rhys’ struggles, he’s a breath of fresh air in a tense and emotional situation. And Sam is such a wonderful pitbull, ready to protect Lennox and never leave his side, and even love him from afar if necessary.
This is full of emotional healing and sensual love. Sweet moments and tender kisses. And several tears. ...more
