Larchdown Valley is a small quaint village with some devoted residents and a serious side of drama!
Josh stumbles into town and gets swept up by its people. Knowing he shouldn’t stay is one thing, actually leaving is another. Especially once he finds himself helping Alex at his coffee shop.
They develop a really great friendship over coffee and pasties. Where both of them find a fresh lease on life and a chance to truly dream. They are pretty sweet in the quiet moments.
There is some external drama that keeps things interesting and highlights the closeness and strength of this village. Once the village has adopted you, they will do just about anything to help. ...more

I love this second chance series. Hurt/comfort at its finest, set in a gorgeous valley that like its characters is both rugged and beautiful.
There’s a delicious push and pull between Bede, an ex-drug dealer unsure if wants to be there and Galen, the cowboy who wants nothing to do with criminals. But they are both proven wrong in their assumptions and instead find fulfillment in the work and friendship between them.
Galen finally finds some peace and joy since his father died, as well as someone willing to share his burdens. Bede finds a home and love he didn’t think possible.
There are lots of great moments between the two, from funny to intense to tender, and they were all perfect....more

A sweet mafia story sounds like an oxymoron, but KM perfectly blends their quintessential warm and playful style with the brutal mafia and MMA world. It means you flinch and swoon all at the same time.
Orion was such a deliciously complicated man. A grump who has lived a tough life, he’s doing whatever is necessary to support himself and care for his brother. That includes fighting for money and owing the mafia, whom he hates.
Elio is obsessed with the fighter and loves to rile him up while dreaming of being on his knees for him.
The tension between these two is delicious and I love how they slowly break down each other's walls and build a sweet (and dirty) relationship amongst all the chaos and expectations that exists in both their lives. ...more

I’m excited to delve into the lives of the folks at Lair, our favourite vampire/Sup bar. We are in for interesting times for sure.
It all kicks off with Hale who has been through some crap! He’s a fascinating character because though he’s old, he spent time in captivity, which means he hasn’t really ‘lived’ much of his life. He deserves something good, something just for him.
He’s a good mate for Yannis. A thoroughly nice farmboy who’s looking for something more. And boy does he get it - in the form of bad guys, discovering the existence of the supernatural, and fated mates. But he takes all of it in stride.
I’m especially enamoured with Yannis’ discovery of his attraction to men (or one man) and the joys of sex with the right one.
There is of course plenty of bad guy drama to keep you entertained, while also getting to explore the bar and its offerings more. ...more
Deadly Little Sparrow and his Murder Marshmallow!! And both those names completely evoke who those men are.
I adored this darker, yet lovely, mafia story by KM Neuhold. If someone else wrote it I would probably describe it as “if KM Neuhold wrote mafia”, so there you go.
Sparrow is a spitfire seeking vengeance. He’s scrappy and determined. He has tunnel vision until he meets Xaviaro. The mafia assassin helps him out and now he can’t shake him.
Xaviaro has a protective streak a mile long, which is common for a man who’s job it is to protect the boss and his best friend, but those instincts also kick in when he meets Sparrow.
Nothing wrong about a little obsessive stalking, and then wooing by offering to help him with this mission. All good relationships start that way! Right?!
But then there also the fact that Sparrow is willing to put Xav on his knees and give him a chance to let go. Which i love. There is something extremely sexy about a big bad enforcer wanting to give up control.
The give and take between them was wonderful and they actually melted my heart in the bond they created....more
Than The District Series, and this book especially will take you on a journey you’ve never expected.
A hitman and his very disturbed and psychopathic protege. One with an obsession for the man who took him under his wings. They have their reasons for how they ended up where they are, and it’s as dark as the path they are currently on.
It’s a fascinating combination of personalities. Sully can’t feel love like the rest of us, but it doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a bond with the older man.
And Malik, wow, he has a complicated relationship with sex and love. And to Sully himself.
This one will push your understanding of love. It’s bloody and fraught with wild energy. But in the end, there is some sense of peace that these two have found each other.

I love this zany group of men. They are a wild bunch, with little impulse control and a penchant for blowing things up. But they also have big hearts.
And that’s proven when Zeus is assigned to finding Callie the young man who wound up helping his ex try and kill some of their team. Callie made some bad decisions under the thumb of abuse, but he’s also a survivor, and that’s what’s kept him alive while on the run.
Zeus is wonderful. His reputation is that of a playboy, with little interest in growing up, and definitely not into settling down. But our boy has layers, and sweet Callie is the only one who’s managed to peel them back.
They both have some reckoning to do with their personal demons, but having someone believe in you helps a lot with finding the strength to do it.
It was a great journey, and there were plenty of shenanigans to keep you from putting the book down....more

I didn’t read the blurb - because why would I - it’s Garrett Leigh, so I know I’m going to love it, and because I’m obsessed with this series and have been dying for the story of these three for ages. So I didn’t realize this was a duet…gah! As I was nearing the end I kept thinking, oh Garrett’s being nice and isn’t going to emotionally flay me (as much as normal)…hahaha, I should have known better, she’s just saving herself for a second book!
That being said Unholy Trinity is everything you want it to be. The delicious, and really quite sweet start of their story. Yes, they are all a part of a motorcycle gang, and yes they all have tragic, rough, or tumultuous backstories that have led them here, but they are also tender and kind and patient with one another. They are as swoony as they are sexy.
If you don’t want to fight to the death to protect these three and the possibilities of this beautiful throuple, then we can’t be friends. I don’t want to play favourites, but they may end up being my favourite ‘pairing’.
I would walk over a football field of Lego in order to get book two of this duet…here’s hoping she doesn’t make do that! ...more

Ooof, this was a doozy of a conclusion. It was thrilling and threw a few surprises at us. It also gave us the answers we’ve been dying for.
These two worked so well together, both in saving their city and in their relationship. And I love that Chris found a family in the Madigans. They all went through fire together, and came out stronger in the end.
Layla really knows how to keep us on our toes, while also making them curl with all the delicious heat.
I’m sorry their story is over, they are an addictive pair. Not to mention hearing it through Tristan James’ narration. ...more

We’ve returned to our beloved Alex and Trevor. These two have been through a gamut of trials and tribulations. Married life is going well for them. Alex’s business is humming along. And criminals are still making Trevor (and his BFF partner Jules) work for it.
The stress of the job isn’t always easy on either of them. Especially now that a gang war and an extremist uprising seem to have their sights set on Trevor and other law enforcement officers.
I love that even when these two are struggling, they still draw strength from one another. And ultimately they’re reminded that they are stronger together.
It’s been beautiful watching these two grow and find their footing as husbands. Knowing that love isn’t the be-all and end-all, it takes a commitment to make it work and to love one another each and every day through all the ups and downs.
I’ve also really enjoyed the mystery side of the stories - I love a good detective whodunnit. ...more
Do you like a slow burn with epic levels of pinning? The Boxer is the perfect choice then.
Whether you’ve read other books in this series/world or not, you’ll enjoy this boxer and manager story. Ferguson has been in love with Jack since he was 15, and ever since the boxer has had to settle for being friends and watching Jack love someone else.
Witnessing Jack finally realize what was right in front of him was fantastic. All while helping Fergs achieve his boxing dreams. It could be super complicated, or incredibly right.

Damn, I’m going to be fanning myself for weeks thinking about this delicious romance.
KC did a fantastic job with this. The perfect balance of dark mafia, sweet love, and heart-pumping BDSM. I loved the priest/religious theme. Even for someone who’s not religious, it held such incredible taboo and made the kinky scenes even hotter.
“I want to kneel before you outside of the confessional. I want you to punish me for my sins, for my impure thoughts. Please. Punish me, Father.”
On this remote island, they both find something special. Within themselves and with each other. It’s harder to hold on to back in London, in the ‘real’ world. Except when you found the perfect someone for you, you fight for it.
Mat and Peyton have my favourite type of relationship. Where the Dom also needs someone in his corner, and the Sub is no pushover. Seriously Mat and Peyton are perfect.

It took some time to warm up to these closed-off and non-communicative men, but the story sucks you in and you eventually get to see their walls come down and start to share themselves. And when they do, it’s pretty spectacular.
“My eyes don’t have to be open for me to see you”
I loved the push and pull between these two, they both played hot and cold as they each struggled with their wants and desires, while also trying to protect themselves. The ultimate slow burn, with plenty of twists and turns to keep them and the reader guessing about how this romance will play out.
And if you missed Riley and Harper from ‘Until I Saw You’ then you will be excited to know they are still as ridiculously in love as they were in their own story.

Fantastic, just fantastic. Book 2 in this action-packed trilogy, full of lust and secrets in pretty much equal measure!
I jumped in King Slayer immediately after finishing Book 1 because I couldn’t bear to wait, but now I’m worried about starting Book 3 because I don’t want it to end. It’s a dilemma common to Layla’s series.
I loved changing to Dante’s perspective and getting that outside perspective of Hawes’ family. And just when you think all the secrets and twists have happened, you’re in for a surprise or two.
I don’t know how they’ll get through it all, or past it all for that matter, but I can’t wait to find out.

This starts with a gut punch. Brady is the second brother in an Irish Mafia family. He’s seen his fair share of violence and abuse. But nothing can compare to the way his lover was taken from him.
And it seems like he’ll never recover from the grief until he meets Charles. The spark is instantaneous, but they both have significant trauma that they have to work through if they can make it. But they also have to protect the family and their business.
There’s a lot of action, as one would expect, but there are also really great characters with depth and layers. I loved the growth they both showed, and the bond between the brothers was pretty special.

This was an excellent story and audiobook. I love a redemption story, especially when it involves someone who’s been to prison finding someone to love them and give them a second chance.
Garrett knows how to make you feel every emotion that runs through Luis and Paolo, especially the loneliness and pain Luis feels. That man breaks my heart. He never really wanted to be a part of the life that sent him to prison, and now that he’s on the outside he has to figure out how to adjust, find a job, and avoid getting dragged back into his brother's world. And when he finds someone who he cares about…his old life comes calling. Gah, that poor, kind man.
He deserves happiness, and to be wrapped up in Paolo’s arms, living a happy life working alongside his man. They are perfect for each other. Luis’ calm to Paolo’s fiery temper. They soothe each other.
This is a tension-filled, edge-of-your-seat story that is gritty, and real, but ultimately hopeful and tender.
Dan Calley did an amazing job as the Narrator of this. It took a beat to adjust to the thick accent, but it was perfect for the story and characters. I can’t imagine it any other way now. ...more

The conclusion of the Malvagio DuetWhat’s the point of fighting to reign over an entire city if you can’t make the rules and have everything you want?
The conclusion of the Malvagio Duet is one that proves the heart never listens to the brain, even if it means running towards possible death.
The first book (Forbidden Mafia Prince) was dark and brutal, while this one is more heart-racing and intimate. I enjoy the contrast. And here we get to really understand who they are, what motivates them. It works really well.
The ending was fantastic for these two, the perfect balance of Luca & Dom merging their lives.

Marsh and Levi are absolutely wonderful characters. Badass FBI agents, fighting the good fight, trying to protect their loved ones. It’s a high-stakes case. Their hearts are also at stake. Including the heart of an angsty teenager. While the marriage started out fake, it’s starting to feel pretty right.
I love Marsh, the Cowboy FBI agent with a romantic heart and Levi, the widowed dad who’s great at his job but floundering in his personal life. Together they make the perfect complement as partners and husbands.
While they chase killers and corrupt people, these two manage to make me swoon at least once per page.

I’m one of those people who hate cliffhangers. Not because I think they shouldn’t be done, but because I have no chill. Thankfully this series is a few years old, so I don’t have to wait for the rest of the books. Because Damn! This has a hell of a cliffhanger. I started listening to book 2 immediately.
It’s an addictive start to the Fog City trilogy chronicling the relationship between Dante Perri and Hawes Madigan. Set in a world of murder, suspense, unexpected twists and ultimately having no idea how they could possibly make it work.
You can’t really discuss the story without giving away its secrets, but I can say, the men are deliciously dangerous and are way more than who they show the rest of the world. As bad and dangerous as they seem, they are also warm, kind and moral (even if they are grey).
I’d normally not read/listen to three books by the same author in a row, but I won’t be waiting to get this whole story.
I should also note that Tristan James narrates this series, so you don’t just get a fantastic story, you also get the amazing voice(s) of Tristan. ...more

I also want Wyatt to be free of having to worry about providing for his sister. They deserve a little bit of easy in their lives.
Roman has amassed a great crew of misfits who are lots of fun and have such a great bond. But at the centre is a rocky history between Roman and Wyatt, and their second chance at a future together. Because it’s clear, no matter what went down before, they are meant to be.
The case itself is hella entertaining. A high stakes heist, even more so with a rival crew on their tails. I can’t wait for book two!
