Fantastic, swoony, BFF cowboys set in gorgeous Wyoming…all the yes’s.
A good cowboy story has a certain atmosphere to it - one that evokes the sturdy and laid-back nature of country folk. It’s perfect for a deep connection between two friends to find a love that will last.
And a large ranch and small community provide a great opportunity for found family. People who will support you and care about your future.
I love the way they care and support one another, even just as friends. I especially loved how fiercely Austin tried to protect and defend Cal from his mother! I’m also a big fan of a story that incorporates some wanderlust into it.
It’s a relationship built on such a steady foundation that it can withstand anything. It honours both their natures, and that makes me swoon everytime....more
Be still my beating heart, how I want to love and protect Emil for all of time to come. I am a sucker for someoneBlog | Instagram | Twitter | Facebook
Be still my beating heart, how I want to love and protect Emil for all of time to come. I am a sucker for someone who doesn’t feel seen by the people around them (projecting? probably!). Nothing makes me melt more. A Christian is perfect for him because he sees him completely. But it’s entirely natural. He doesn’t have to try on Emil’s behalf. He loves everything about the man. I’m also a fan of Emil talking nerdy!
Christian himself is also wonderful. He’s an absolute sweetheart, always so thoughtful and caring. He just brings such joy and beauty to the world.
It’s a fun and sexy story. Brought together by voyeurism/exhibitionism and chance but connected by so much more.
I really enjoyed Emmy’s exploration of Emil’s need for exhibitionism. It had depth and understanding and brought a lot to the story.
I hope these crab daddies have a beautiful life together. ...more

Sweet, introverted Beckett with the respect of the community is a wonder. He can come across as grumpy but he’s battling crappy family and a limited social battery, so it’s no surprise he wants to keep to himself in the beautiful nest of a home that he’s created.
Will is everything that Beckett needs, and vice versa. It doesn’t mean that they fall wildly in love the moment they set eyes on each other though! They have to work for. Will has to climb some steep walls to get to Beckett, but it’s totally worth it to see them both flourish.
And Beckett’s parents can rot in the hell of their own making!...more

I love Anson. And I love him even more with Kevin. He is sucked into Kevin’s vortex and no matter how much he tries (which I argue wasn’t very hard), he can’t stay away.
Anson is a loner, stuck in his own head, and a workaholic. If it wasn’t for his dog, he probably wouldn’t even know any of his neighbours. Which is exactly how Kevin ends up in his life.
Kevin himself is a very lovely guy. A police officer with a desire to help build the community, and a sweet relationship with his mother. He’s also handy with tools and good with dogs. So…ya know…perfect boyfriend!
I love their dynamic. A friendship built on shared dinners and a shared dog. And I really appreciated the way they supported each other in their ambitions. ...more
I need more Bronco-riding cowboys in my life! Especially a Cope. That boy is the kindest and most neighbourly cowBlog | Instagram | Twitter | Facebook
I need more Bronco-riding cowboys in my life! Especially a Cope. That boy is the kindest and most neighbourly cowboy around. I love his easygoing nature and thoughtfulness. He was definitely the polar opposite of Xander’s business suit ex, and I couldn’t love that more for Xander.
Their meet-cute might have been messy, but the development of their relationship certainly wasn’t.
"I need you to know that I plan to make you mine in due time, city boy."
They form a sweet friendship that is fun to watch progress. And it’s especially lovely to watch Cope learn some things about his sexuality and discover that ‘spark’.
This is just pure sweet, sexy, and lovely. And I’m here for their happy ending. I’m also a little in love with Aggie the highland cow, and to call on Xander’s aunt next time I need to name an animal!
It was also great to see more of the rest of the cowboys, they are a hilarious group of friends. ...more

Okay, so this was one hell of a swoony story with an exceptional meet-cute! You’ll adore both of these guys from the first page. They are so endearing and terrific, both as general human beings but also, especially, with each other.
Lane is a single dad to Briar, a precocious 3-year-old who could put master thieves to shame! I adore them together, but the poor guy needs some support since his wife has decided finding her zen is more important than being a mother.
Enter Bowen. He needs to start over since his relationship and his career are over. Coming home to live with his brother, Lane’s neighbour, while he figures out what’s next. Bowen is a beautiful guy who is a toddler whisperer.
A match made in heaven! And they make a perfect team. I loved how well they supported one another, and brought so much joy and warmth to each other's lives.
This was definitely one of the more lighthearted of EM’s books. And by lighthearted I mean it didn’t require an entire box of tissues to get through it, not that it wasn’t emotional and engaging. I can’t wait for more of these single dads. ...more

A single dad who is oh so cute with him, whose wife walked out on them. A hot doctor who is convinced he’ll have to stay single to keep his conservative family.
These two neighbours share an attraction but decide that being friends is more important. Which gives us a wonderful slow burn. Sweet hiking outings, plenty of tasty food, and lots of simple moments just enjoying each other, Nate’s son and An’s super adorable niece.
They are wonderful together. So many sweet moments, and I just love the easy nature between the two. They are both just steady and strong.
The abandonment by Nate’s wife, and An’s homophobic parents are always present in the background. Those are things that leave deep scars, and the support of the other in finding a way forward, and finding happiness is terrific.
The audiobook is narrated by one of MM’s favourites, Iggy Toma. So you know it’s going to be a great experience. ...more

This was my first SE Harmon story and oh my gosh I absolutely adored this story. Like, want to listen to it again and again.
It was so gorgeous and touching and it had the perfect combination of emotion and tension with sweetness and tenderness.
The longingness between them, gah, but also the longing for life to have been different just drew me in. Journey and Cameron are perfect for one another, there is no question of that, but where Journey needed to break free of the oppression of taking care of his family at such a young age, Cameron needed the stability of staying put.
This second chance is everything I could want. I just wanted to bask in this story forever. Cameron and Journey have my heart!
PS. Nick Hudson was phenomenal as the narrator for this. He helped make this beautiful story even more mesmerizing. Truly can’t get enough of this one. ...more

Remy and Lawson have such a wonderful first me. It was special. But then life happened and it pulled them apart, hurting both of them.
What followed was a hard fought for reunion and second chance. And trust me, I love an emotional second chance story. There’s something so satisfying about someone getting do over. Healing past hurts. Getting to know each other again as they are now.
Though both men had changed with life, they were still perfect for one another. Still lifting each other up and being the others safe space.
Truly a wonderful story. Kale Williams also did a nice job of the audiobook, bring the emotional style of the story to life. ...more
